I honestly believe these rules will be a lot easier in practice than in the article description. The article was overly wordy, but the end result is quite simple. Also, where has Munchoboy been? I haven't seen him on much, defending Wizkids, like usual. I would've thought with all these previews being up he'd be on a lot.
Ah, that would explain it. But he also hasn't ventured into GD much either.
On a different topic, it is funny to see how many people in the latest rules-change preview are taking the cataclysmic "end of the world" approach. All will be well folks.

I firmly believe this too. It's just that in reading them, it seems convoluted as all heck. I am trying to wrap my head around the manner in which I will explain these rules to my players, using all the proper terminology but in a way that it'll be easily understood. This elevation thing is gonna be a nightmare for a while.
But it'll be worth it, because I love the idea of it. I just wished the mechanics were smooth enough to be explained easily.

I look forward to teaching these changes to the players at my venue. When I took over from the previous judge, he had them thinking they could outwit range. They've come a long way since then, but this new rules book will provide the opportunity to go over a lot more.
I left the game once because the only guy who would play against me would always have E Black Cat, V ult Scarlet Witch, and V Jinx (usually with a Bats person as well) on every team he played. Often, he would add more PC, but he always had those 3 He really like the idea of 3 stealthed, see through stealth PC figures. The sad thing is, he refused to get any clix of his own, and those were all my pieces. I finally told him to either buy his own clix or never use PC again, so he went out and got a NGN Supes and V Polaris and never played another team again. I ended up buying a rookie Cosmic Boy simply to pair with my V IO Supes and that was all I could play against him. Eventually, he invited himslef to my home for the weekend to go to an official tournament. He was such a Dick that the store told me never to bring him again. I say Dick, because his name was actually Richard.
I've fallen and I can't get up.
And I may have just busted a rib, either from the fall or -- please forgive me -- from laughing.
That's what comes from reading the above post and suddenly, for whatever crazy reason, imagining two deceased master strategists -- one a former U.S. president, and the other, a former head coach of the Washington Redskins, playing an intense game of Heroclix wherever it is they are now in The Great Beyond...and it's not going particularly well, due to one's countering of his opponent's single Destiny by playing multiple Jinx figures.
Even in The Hereafter, rerolls can be hell.
Of course, the taunts of "Your Destiny --- Jinxed again!" probably aren't helping.
Tim Burton was right: "A square jaw does not a Batman make." Steve Buscemi as the next Batman! Luke Perry as Joker! Let's make it happen!
