This bio — and fig — is based on the classic Mysterio, who bowed out of the scene back in the Daredevil arc mentioned. Haven't there been some successors/pretenders to the helm, since?
Although this Quentin Beck version is okay, I was hoping for a Poison/Smoke Cloud combo with Phasing, ala Francis Klum--a mutant who used Mysterio's costume and gadgets, but actually had the ability to teleport.
That would've been much better to me.
Ominous 8: Dr. Doom, Mysterio, M.O.D.O.K., Swarm, the Wizard, the Klaw, dire wraiths, Riptide.

Blast!!! Stumped again...
Disappointing compared to your hopes, but original and comic accurate, nonetheless. I think he is usable.

I know this will be an unpopular option but I do not see outwit on Mysterio. Sure I see a lot of neat powers but without the outwit it is not the Mysterio that I am use to (like the one from the Ultimates) and it does not seem like Mysterio.
Salu Digby as LeVIathan in clix!

Which is a shame because I would have loved for there to be the keyword so we could have a Sinister Six alt-TA.
Nothing stopping them from making a Sinister Syndicate one.

True, but I think it saved them from having to put KWs of all the different Sinister variants on these figs. Do we really need a Sinister Six, Sinister Seven, and Sinister Twelve?
I'm impressed. This piece should work incredibly well with other Sinister Syndicate characters, and was designed to be capable on his own while still providing synergy with the TA.
For those dismissing Mind Control at the end, remember he can borrow a better Attack value. He can also swap with a high-Attack teammate to provide SinSyn value to a third.
Big Reveal can also be good for point denial. Your opponent might have Mysterio on the ropes when =poof= that 75-point KO suddenly turns into a 20-point Vulture.
One catch that I think might escape many players, though: The Big Reveal says "Neither character can be given another action this turn." This does not exclude Free Actions. Mysterio could not swap then use Perplex, and the other figure would be similarly restricted.
Hmm... y'know, a team with a couple of him and a few of the original Mysterios is pretty tempting.

i must spread rep. i can see having a small event in september and making that team
also, add me to the list of folks that were confused by that trait until i read it clearly and recognized it as 2 separate sentences.
he should be loads of fun to play (especially with wizard shazam)

Sinister Seven and Twelve were, essentially, "one-shot ideas". The Six have been a classic bit of Marvel lore for decades now.
It's true they can make a Sinister Syndicate one...but that's messed up in its' own way. Kingpin and Bullseye do not equate to teammates of Mysterio and Sandman, for the most part, in my eyes. It's "glutting" things by lumping them all in one group for keywords. I could understand for the basic TA but for the alt-TA it would've been quite nice for the classics to have a Sinister Six keyword with alt ability.
"Nobody important? That's amazing. You know, in 900 years of traveling time and space I've never met someone who wasn't important."

But ... Kingpin and Bullseye don't have the Sinister Syndicate keyword??

Part of me would say "no", since Hammerhead and Scorpia probably aren't coming anytime soon. But then again, they gave the Justice League a whole mess of varying keywords, and keywords for groups with only a couple figures out. So why not Sinister Six/Seven/Twelve?

This could be just like Justice League debate. You'd have a some people who think they should all be separate KWs and some people think they should all be combined, and then some people who ask why everyone is hung up on KWs.
