I have done it! My hunt for the white whale is over! I finally acquired Star Wars: The Queen's Gamit, a board game I've been trying to find for nearly a decade.

I'm tempted to try contacting the seller to see if I can cancel the sale and try to acquire from Muncho instead. Normally I wouldn't do that, but there was another guy bidding against me up until the last minute. (I literally won the auction with less than 10 seconds left.) That way, I could get a copy, the guy that was bidding against me could get a copy, and Muncho and the seller from ebay could both gain something from it as well.

Or is the correct ethical decision to just say, "Oh well, a deal's a deal, and I better stick with it?"

My copy (ies) are in storage, so you're probably better off with the one you've won.

It's possible (though highly unlikely) I'll come across it while I prepare for my move, but unlikely since what's in storage is gonna stay in storage. You know what I mean?

And you know, ebay say's "a deal is a deal". Don't have buyers' remorse!

Yeah, I really wouldn't have even considered it if there wasn't another bidder that was NOT getting a copy because of me winning it. But maybe someday you'll put yours on ebay, and that guy can get it.

I wish I could rename our thread to be "Substance-free".
