3) You cooked edible food.
4) You enjoyed a tasty barley pop while completing the above tasks.
5) Most importantly, you stayed near the grill while sending your woman/kids to go get stuff for you at the grill. Very important, but often forgotten, step.

No. Despite the name salad it did not involve leafy greens. Potato, Macaroni salads are manly so is coleslaw. More manly if they are mayonnaise based. Less manly if you can count more vegetable ingredients.
