Forge and Northstar were in the wrong spots on the map, fixed them but if I'm wrong let me know.
So Spider-Man is koed and so is Firestar, actually. Not to mention one tiny hit and Thor's done, too. Wasp is back to the front lines again.
Let's start with Thor. I guess Strong Guy is his best choice although hitting him only makes him better. Needs 8 for a hit, rolls 7. 7....awesome! Awesome for me but not so much for you, sorry about that. This is good stuff because Thor can be a fix against Doug! Hey, but the die Gods gave me this gift, can't ignore it. Cypher's headed for a duel.
Odd, I started my mind rolling on anti-Cypher characters and at present, since I don't need to use them, I'm not sure what way to go.
I'll start with Scarlet Witch. The FF figures debuted today and Wanda is always welcome. The 75 pointer has tk, perplex, pc and Mystics. I'll take 7 please! She starts in J2. I'll pit her to be different.
Strange, through the Astral form, on Phoenix. He'll perplex his damage to 4. Gimme a 7, gets 8. 2 to Jean, smartly you gave her repulsor shield or the carnage would be worse.
Hank moves to M9. He's an excellent support piece, Hank, just not always sure what to do with him. He'll outwit Forge's outwit.
Wasp rs to I5 attacking Lockheed with Scarlet Witch in J4. Needs 8, rolls 11. 2 to him.
In for Firestar now is Black Panther. Wanted to play the Cap one who for some reason plays better than he looks. Instead I'm taking the Avengers one with the Spider-Man ta. Panther goes Mystics and has brilliant tactician. He'll attack Forge. Needs 5, gets 9. All ace rolls this turn. Forge takes 2. T'Challa boosts the dvs of all Avengers he can see: himself, Hank & Dr. Strange.
Forgot about Wanda's perplex. She makes her dv 17 before esd.
"Thor seems off. I'm hearing a hollow tone in his vocal patterns," Cypher says, "Hey, Iron Man fashioned a robot Thor during the Civil War, could this be similar?".
The boy is pulled up in a gust of wind. "Thou shalt never know, boy!".
"Thor's gone. You losers just lost your best chance of defeating me," Phoenix says.
"Best, perhaps," Dr. Strange says, "But not only." His astral form cloaks around her.
"You way to go on the astral plane? You're outclassed here, too."
"If I were alone," Strange says. The Scarlet Witch moves in and unleashes a hex and Jean's world is suddenly turned topsy-turvy.
"Wow, is that Phoenix crying out?" Wasp asks.
"What do you know, it is. I guess that would be my doing," the Scarlet Witch says.
"Wanda!" Jan says hugging her.
"Ahem! There is the matter of Forge and the rest to deal with," Vision says.
"I think you have greater things to worry about Vision," the Black Panther says sneaking up on Forge and hitting him with his fists.
PHoenix takes Stong Guy, goes HSS to I14 to attack VIsion. AV11 on DV18. Gets 5. She ends in F11 with Stong Guy in G10.
Forge PErplexes his AV to 8, attacks Panther, DV18. Gets 7. It's a miss, but I can mess with your plans and steal Wanda away into a duel. And I will. Forge passes on this action, naturally.
Lockheed to E5, uses Nanobots on the object in E4. He hasn't done a whole lot this game except eat most of the objects.
Scarlet Witch shouldn't have a token, she didn't do anything last turn so she can freely attack Forge now. Wanda perplexes her damage to 3 and attacks. Needs 6, gets 7. 2 to Forge after toughness.
"I warned you, Forge, you're known as the maker," the Scarlet Witch says, "I suppose I'm the unmaker in some ways." Crimson gloves cling together and Forge is blown into the air.
Immediately he pulls out a blaster. "Not so fa....". It melts in his hand. "Oh for crying out loud....!".
Phoenix HSS to J11 to attack Pym, AV11 on DV17. Gets 4. Ends in L15
Strong Guy to J9

Cypher on his first click, can't do a thing to Thor. I have to push him to get to his second click with Perplex. I'll make an attack on the off chance he gets a 12. Gets 8. Strange to break (what...no phasing?). 3. Sheesh, can't even get that?. Ok, he attacks Guido. Needs 6, rolls 8. 2 to Guido.
Can't help myself, I feel real schizophrenic with Hank Pym. Like the figure a lot, just haven't been able to figure out how to use him best. Anyway a Giant-Man/Strong Guy battle seems right, he'll go giant.
Panther b-ts the Avengers dvs by 1, effecting himself, Giant-Man and Strange. He moves to M14.
Strange perplexes his dv by 1.

BTW, how about formally saying we'll add a second round of objects in all 5k games at the midway point? In our 10k games we do it thrice so it makes sense to me.

Not quite. Colossals don't need to. Giants need to, but fail only on a 1 or 2. Unless they changed it again. Hank's on a 2x2 base, but he's still only a GIant going by the Damage symbol. Speaking of which, I'm slapping a 2x2 base down for you.
I'm fine with adding another round of objects. Means I should do that now.

CYpher ducked into the cabin of the freighter. "Okay, computerized controls. That's something I know how to work with." His fingers began flying over the keyboard, figuring out the controls in a matter of seconds.
"Lad, come out. I do not want to hurt thee," Thor said. "Surrender and I swear on Odin's beard, I'll make it painless as possible."
"I hope this works, I hope this works," Cypher said in a near panic. The great loading crane of the ship swung around and dropped a 20-foot long shippping crate onto the thunder god.
Argh, this game is getting out of my control. Countering Cypher and Phoenix are definitely issues. Not to mention Danger. Oh and Strong Guy is definitely doing his job.
So, thanks to your ok, I can replace Thor with Thor since he came in through an AE. Or pass. Knowing Thor is likely to take one click damage on anything he does. Also knowing he can't do squat about Jean or Doug....
Because I'm such a Thor fan I'll replace him. I still like HoT as my go-to Thor. Sure a few out there have some pluses but he's still the best. He'll rs to J6 targeting Guido & Lockheed. Rolls 9. Really wanted a 7. 4 to Guido, 1 to Thor.
Wasp tries to incap Guido & Lockheed. Rolls 11. A token to both and as she does penetrating damage both take a click. Also, as she was incapping no damage to Jan. Does that seem right to you? If so it's a ko to Lockheed and Strong Guy's on his last click.
