I knew I would be open to an ee attack there but I just couldn't do anything about it.
Doop rs to N11 attacking Stargirl & Kyle. Rolls 7. John makes it 6. That's good enough for Kyle. He's down.
Psylocke outwits Grifter's ss.
Emma to mc Grif. Needs 8, gets 10. Oh sweet. He makes his av 11 and attacks Stargirl. Needs 7, gets 7. 2 to Star. He freely tries for Starman now. Needs 7, rolls 8. SS is 3. 2 to Starman also.
A good turn for me. Not crazy good like your last turn, but still good.
"Treating young girls with such callous disregard...." Emma Frost says, "I'll enjoy watching you all destroyed."
"?/#@[!" says Doop attacking Kyle.
"See? And Doop agrees. Still, why sully my hands when I can make you do my dirty work," Emma continues as she mind controls Grifter to go after Starman and Stargirl.
Constantine on Emma, Perplexing his Range to 5. AV9 on DV16. Gets 8, she takes 1, hits her stop click, and then since there are no Cuckoos left, she immediately takes 1 more.
Grifter double targets Emma and Moonstone? SC is 3. AV10 on DV17, +1 for hindering for Moonstone. Rolls 8. Not sure why I targeted Moonstone, really. I'll do 2 Penetrating to Emma.
Grifter gets a second close combat attack (though not an action so I can't use PB again) targets Moonstone? SC is 6 this time. Doop then. Rolls 2. Constantine's too far away to help.
The Green Lanterns have been around forever. Sinestro and his yellow ring since the early 60s. Star Sapphire almost as long. But in the 2000s the DC Universe exploded in a veritable rainbow of feelings. On the one hand I feel like all these different emotional spectrum corps have got to make the galaxy a very crowded place, but I can't deny that many of them have a certain appeal, visual and otherwise. And I don't think it's too big a secret that I've developed a certain soft spot for a certain Orange ring-slinger. Larfleeze in next, Fast Forces version. Charges to O12 to attack Doop, AV10 on DV18. Gets 7, Constantine makes it 10. 1 to Doop.
"Look, normally I'd have nothing at all against leggy blondes strutting around in their underwear, but I'm going to have to make an exception in your case," Constantine said, calling up a spell and casting it at Emma. It shocked her into her diamond form. Grifter's guns didn't seem to have a problem with wounding her, even so.
"What are you??" Larfleeze said, pouncing on and grabbing Doop. "I want you! You must be mine!"
"*($)(#!!!" Doop protested and struggled to escape Larfleeze's grasp.
Psylocke tries to mc Grif. Needs 7 total, rolls 7. SS is 2.
Grift on Stargirl & Max. Rolls 8. SS is 6. Gets a second chance, same targets:7. SS is 2. 2 to Max.
Moonstone rs to M5 attacking Larf. Needs 7, rolls 5.
Emma to break? 5. She charges to P15 tugging the HO from under John attacking him. Needs 7, twice, rolls 8 and 7. He's out and so is she.
I wasn't a fan of the whole Ultimates line initially. But this was a huge deal in the 2000s and I really got into the Ultimates storyline. I wanted to play Hulk but he doesn't have any charge on his first click. I always liked the Ultimates Hawkeyes so I'll play Clint Barton.
Psylocke outwits Larfleeze's invincible. Hawkeye rs to G12 attacking Larf. Needs 7, rolls 9. Nice. 3 to him.
"You're the teams' brawn but I want to get to the resident mage," Emma Frost says lunging at John Constantine in diamond form. She slams down on his mystic shield, taking him down and shattering in the process.
"Bloody hell...she's good," John says as he passes out.
"Big targets, I like that," Hawkeye says unloading some arrows on Larfleeze.
They seem to manage to get in one more really solid Batman villain every decade. 80s had Croc. 90s had Bane. 2000s had Hush. I'll bring him in now, in the Prime "Bruce Wayne" version.
Starman to V19. Hush uses Support. AV10 on DV16. Gets 8. Support roll is 5 and he doesn't subtract 2. Starman's healed back up to full.
Can Max MC Moonstone? SC is 6. Just shoots Doop then, AV10 on DV17. Gets 6.
Grifter on Hawkeye, AV9 on DV15 +1. Gets 5. His second attack is a 6.
Stargirl RS to N17, shoots at Clint and Doop, AV10 on DV15 +1 and 17. 1 to Doop, since that's all he'll take anyway, and 2 to Clint.

"Who are you supposed to be? Boris Karloff?" Starman asked the newcomer.
"Hush," he said.
"Don't you shush me," Starman told him.
"You're an idiot. You're lucky your skills are important enough for me to stop you from bleeding out, because hippocratic oath or not, I'd do it and help cleanse the gene pool."
Doop makes his damage 2 attacks Larfleeze. Needs 8, rolls 6.
Psylocke again tries to mc Grifter. Needs 7, rolls 11. He attacks Stargirl & Larfleeze. Rolls 8. 1 to Larf after toughness. Gets to go again, same targets: gets 10. This time 2 to Stargirl.
"Stop...fighting...me," Larfleeze said, stuffing Doop into a sack that he created with his ring. Doop fought and cursed, but eventually Larfleeze forced him in and sealed it shut. "Ha! Now you're mine!"
"And you, you pathetic creature, are ours," Moonstone promised.
"No, you can't," Larfleeze protested. "Larfleeze is too important to the universe to kill. You wouldn't."
Absolutely have to go for Larfleeze before you send him to Hush and do a miraculous healing.
Moonstone on Larf. Needs 7, gets 8. 3 pb to him.
There were a lot of new teenager teams in Marvel. Generation X, Young Avengers, New Warriors just to name a few. Because she's so useful I'll have Nico Minoru from the Runaways represent them all. PC will be her special power. Rachel plops her in E9.
Psylocke outwits Larfleeze's toughness and Hawkeye attacks. Makes his av 10. Needs 6, rolls 3. 7 for Nico. He's out.
