Where did they preview Katar Hol <> Hawkman? 'Cause not only can I not find it, but it's wrong! The JLA's Hawk is Carter Hall, in retconned history ...

No, actually it isn't wrong. In retconned JLA history, Carter Hall was the first Hawkman to join the JLA, then later when the Justice Society disappeared, Katar Hol became the new Hawkman and HE joined the League, along with Hawkwoman.

Not that retcons mean diddly anyway, because VS pulls from anywhere they like. Witness Kent Farm.

If it's *supposed* to be Katar Hol, then the artwork is wrong. Like, completely wrong.

Unless Infinite Crisis has effected VS System and we're playing with the Earth-2 version of the JLA.

Also untrue. Katar Hol had the "classic" Hawkman outfit for his entire League run, which he wore as an homage to Carter. The Hawkworld military outfits designed by Tim Truman, while cool, weren't the only things he wore.

If you're talking about the post-Zero Hour 'Hawk Avatar' Katar Hol outfit, yes, it was based on the Carter Hall design, but the colors were much darker. I don't remember this Katar ever wearing neon green pants.

Looking at the speculated lists, I could see J'onn J'onzz woking better as a first name, that way you can list him as J'onn J'onzz <> Bloodwynd, J'onn J'onzz <> John Jones, J'onn J'onzz <> Martian Manhunter, etc.

Oh! The Joker: Headline Stealer (DJL-089) is up at VSParadise. Two things to note:

1. It appears that "The" no longer counts in the alphabetical order (unless it's just a mistake). Because The Joker is inbetween IQ and Lex.

2. Maybe this is just me, but he really looks like Jay Leno in this pic (check out his hair and chin!). :)

Coolest is there is definately some Arkham/Emerald Enemies legacy content there ... Not much Revenge Squad wise. But some Aquaman villains and some Rogues which are nice to see. Heck ... there's less than 30 more than 30 total on that list [although my source may be missing some info since they don't mention IQ anywhere] which means keeping a few for legacy, they could easily do the whole group [or stick to the Gang and have some repeat drops]

"Headlines" is the only reason why I ever watch Jay Leno. I'm surprised that I didn't see that fiendish connection on my own! :)

It seems unlikely that JLA would get 37-38 cards and JLI 40-41 cards. Injustice Gang more likely starts in the DJL-074 to 076 range.

EDIT: The Key would be really interesting, but he's never been IG that I know of. I think 090 is most likely another Lex Luthor. Poor Jemm didn't make the set!
