Also, there's a bit of a 'good' trend in the recent sets of focusing on team synergy, and rewarding mono-team play. It's a little easier to keep "mono-teams" safe from degeneracy than a mish mash of combos. An increase in team stamp effects [especially with Dr. Light eliminating some of the ways to getting around team stamps ... ditto Detective Chimp].

There will still be some cards that need to be banned.

I'd rather see a couple cards get banned then have cards that are unplayable and thus "as good as banned".

in all seriousness, frankie is a pretty busted card outside of limited, and even then she is still very strong. I think UDE should take action on this card before sydney. llast time they waited too long to take action they kinda' made a few players mad.

Irrelevant and ignorant. What about anyone who's playing in that PCQ who discovered that deck on their own? You're hurting them. You also assume UDE will see this thread tonight and say, "You know what? Those guys are completely right, let's ban it!" UDE has almost never worked that fast.

Ignorant? No team would let anyone run the deck at a PCQ this close to Sydney. I doubt anyone there would have run it. Even if ONE person was, isn't better to hurt the single player than the other 30? It's a BUSINESS decision, for the good of the game.

Do you know who Jaxxin is? I'd sooner listen to his claim, than pretty much anyone else on here. If there's a final list somewhere, he probably had a hand in it. Or if there's a counter deck, he probably had a hand in it. You can argue with me all you want, I play decks with Rocket Racer in them what do I know...but to argue with his statement about the power level of a card is pretty silly.

Ive said it before in some of my post Dr Light messages, and Ill say it again. I am very suprised they didnt ban Frankie along with the Doctor. She just makes games unfun to play. The game should be about playing around Power-ups, Acro Dodge effects, and hoping they dont have a stun back effect, not sitting contently in your chair waiting 15 minutes for your opponent to finish their build phase. I consider myself a competitive player, but I still want to have fun with the games I am playing. If Im not having fun with VS System, first It will upset me, and then I will adjust and move to another TCG. Right now I am hoping UDE doesnt force me to adjust...

exactly, YES, finally some1 else says it, I hated pcla(eventhough I ran x-stall), every opp I faced, their build phase took 4ever, I mean, its like players said, F**k attacking, lets just take a 25 min build phase and win on turn 3 or 4, VS should be about combat, not stupid combo decks that win on turn 3 without having to attack. WOW all the way for now.

yeah VS is getting a bit silly with all this. ban frankie and attend or die (which isn't all that good anyway with both swamp and soul world out there, its only purpose is to enable brokenness). then maybe i'll be inspired to build VS decks instead of old school SWCCG (the game that's ALL about battling).

It really sounds like you're overexaggerating your PCQ situation. Except for me and a couple other people, there's pretty much no one in my area particularly involved in the online Vs. community. I just cannot honestly imagine that there is going to be ANY PCQ ANYWHERE that's going to suddenly become overrun with these decks.

In my experience, people don't bring these types of decks to PCQs, even if they are aware of them. They still bring an easier to play curve deck like TNNB, Crisis Doom, or Checkmate, or their own random deck like Spider-Friends. Even if there are people in your area in tune enough to have discovered this thread and manage to prepare a deck for this weekend, how many could it possibly be, one or two guys? What are the odds you will even face them in the swiss portion, and what are the odds that the people who find out about the deck are actually good enough to play it right?

I understand that having to play against these decks at a PCQ would be frustrating, but stop derailing the more important issue in this thread.

Aside: PCQs aren't casual, because there is money on the line. You can play whatever deck you want, but I will prepare for a PCQ with the intention of winning the $250. Yes, I want to have fun doing it, but it's a competitive event and I will treat it as such.
