Corben is formidable, the ability to Outwit a group surrounding you and then super-Poison them is going to make John a imminent threat.
Heck with Kryptonite Heart you can ignore reducers for Poison and make sure that your opponent can't start bypassing your own reducers with penetrating damage...hehe or get away with Leap/Climb or Phasing/Teleport.
When your opponent brings a Kryptonian theme team, you know your going to have a good night.
I like the flavor text for his Damage line.
I can't help but think that his 75 point starting line and Luthor makes a very nice 100 points.
when corben was on the revenge squad, he was part of luthor's hit squad against zod and the new kryptonians wherein he was rocking a multi-pack of kryptonite flavors, so i thought giving him that as his focus of the would be fun to do. red as perplex is self-explanatory, and green for ew (which pairs consistently with lex's ew, speaking of lex). gold as cce isn't a perfect fit, but considering its potency i reckoned it could work for the cce he needed in his dial and the blue as empower is for when he's paling around with bizarro, to fuel him up
i decided to go full-robot with the steady-freddy stats so the variations have more weight in his flexibility to adjust stats beyond that respectable baseline for when he needs more oomph
for his revenge , i wanted to use his outwit to affect that infamous kryptonite heart, so giving it that PBAoE add-on felt like a good way for the radiation exposure to be translated. the added boost to its range to his range value for kryptonian kw gives it the added silver bullet against them he should have. that's what KWs are really for, imho
I mean the only way to really pull off Gold kryptonite in Heroclix would involve liberally applying whiteout to your opponents dial so I think CCE was the better way to go!
Now that would be a unpopular figure.
"So your character has the Kryptonian keyword?"
"....yes"
"So your figure now has Earthbound/Neutralized"
"For how long?"
"No, they just have it now....."

(300)12th-Level Upgrade: Outwit, PROTECTED: Outwit, range value of 12. At the end of your turn, place a Calculation token on this card if your Action Pool is not zero.
(125)10th-Level Intelligence: Superman Enemy team ability. Brainiac can't be targeted by Outwit from opposing characters unless the targeting character has a higher point value or has the Deity keyword. At the end of your turn, place a Calculation token on this card if your Action Pool is greater than 1. The Prime Directive: Sidestep. Brainiac may remove a Calculation token from this card to use Sidestep at no cost (He may do this more than once). ...The Meson-Effect!: Incapacitate, after resolutions place all Calculation tokens on a hit target's card. Opposing characters with Calculation tokens on their card have IMMOBILE and cannot clear action tokens. Opposing characters have "FREE: Remove a Calculation token from a friendly character within 1 square and line of fire." That Fault In My Previous Programming Has Been Eliminated: Toughness. // Regeneration. When Brainiac uses it, you may remove any number of Calculation tokens to increase the result by that amount.

That is both an accurate and terrifying dial for Brainiac. That's the kind of dial that makes me reconsider the funny theme team I brought to the table when I see it across the map.
I am glad that Brainiac has several ways to spend Calculation tokens, anything I can do to bleed off those tokens while I beat him down dial is going to help in the end and from the side of the player running Brainiac more options are always better.
The Meson-Effect!, yikes, while it is going to eat through your tokens that is going to end any other OMA and cripple any tent pole. Also very glad Vril has only one bolt, the ability to spread that out would invite grim retribution in the parking lot after the game.
That Fault In My Previous Programming Has Been Eliminated, don't give the shiny @#&* a chance to catch his lack of breath! Overkill is your friend, you make sure you nail Dox to the floor when you take him out.
If he hits that Regeneration with a bank of Calculation tokens I think your best bet is to skip the Heroclix figures and go directly for your opponent!
You count those clix my friends, you want to do at least 10 clix, 9 is right out!
That is a fabulous and terrifying dial......fabufying?.......terribulous?

My vote is for terribulous.
This is pre crisis brainiac when he was the utmost terror of the cosmos and I couldn't think of a better candidate for the full 300. This dial is built around the calculation token mechanic through and through. I got the idea of him not wasting his action pool deficit, but instead efficiently employing that to analyze his adversaries for the optimal strategy to employ against them. The sidestep idea came first, but the regen boost and the terrifying meson effect came shortly after. Using the unifying effect for all of them helped to declutter it all, ironically, and to make it more fun imho. Do you cheat extra positioning in the early game or save up to sandbag that tentpole? (Don't miss!) Or do you play it close to the vest the whole game and hope you land on regen?
Between the calculation, heavy reducers, cyclical stats and reliable outwit and pc, I think he can pull of oma a-ok
While he lacks the revenge squad for not being an official member, I went ahead and gave him the kw by association. Not only frequent teamups with the various members, but specifically the precrisis revenge squad and that was enough for me. Same goes with lsv. He also lacks Superman enemy ta due to that oma upgrade to traditional outwit and as a oma, the il ta works far better. In addittto the range boost and ease of accumulation of calculation tokens, the upgrade also grants him the better outwit protection, shoring up those loopholes. And no, that's not a copy/paste error from a divine aura language, it was deliberately chosen on account of his precrisis quirk wherein he developed a pathological fear of God once he recognized logically that He would be the only thing always over him no matter how much he upgraded himself

Wow, that is a blast from my childhood reading my eldest brothers Superman comics.
I love that kaleidoscope dial and the storm of flavor text that goes with it!
Lets see your opponent memorize that, this is just a fun dial with something to do on every click.
I want to run Tobias on a Scientist team just so I can put this cowpoke with all my standard robots and hydrocephalic cyborgs!
What a product of his times. "What're the kids into? Cowboys? Let's send a cowboy villain against Superman." Wait, what?
I mean, batman, sure, but the big red s? Yeah suping him up as a space cowboy was just a wild turn and boy did he embrace both. He had such random and wild weapons that I knew a joker kaleidoscope was the best way to get all that flavor text in, cause he had too many nuggets to leave any out. I'm glad the randomness and extreme variety plays into his character and gives you tons of things to do each turn. With all that, a vanilla presentation felt best.
At 100 he gets a big stat upgrade since he can't rely on SPs or s to make those 2 clicks worth 40 pts (especially these days). And those clicks read vertically followed by clicks 3-4 read vertically will give you the lyrics of his introductory ballad in the books

He might not be the fanciest, but like a hammer to the face how fancy do you need to be to get the job done!
Dang, I just don't want to fight him and if you've brought a OMA your going to have a bad day ( Superman enemies tend to have that in common ).
At 150 he goes from hammer to sledgehammer with nitro duct-taped to the head, either mob him or KEEPAWAY ( I can hear Yakkity Sax play as he chases after your figures trying to get within Pulse Wave range ).
Of course at 150 RCE makes even that a losing option and even at his lower point cost CCE is going to make swarming him a painful option.
And of course even at the high-end he's going to have at least 150 points of backup.
I can't help but think he's going to play really well with all his keywords, especially Society.

Now this is a fun character. The awesome shape change power keep her around to buddy up to a cheap Superman Enemy because that Outwit is fabulous. Just a great twist on Shape Change.
The wording on the trait is nicely put to keep it in check.
Surprising interesting dial for a character that many would have seen as a throw-away.
I see the superman revenge squad theme and I like it. What a great idea to pin their theme to the already existing team ability effect.
This poor man's Absorbing Man is a great take on the power. Works well in the 2017 rules changed world we live in now that you don't have to use the object in the attack. It is elegant and meshes nicely with his trait.
My favorite part, the 'oh yeah, and he's also got Telepathy.' I'm glad it made an appearance with on the dial with the Super Senses. In a novice hands it would have ended up and a special power or trait.
You know what's a riot? This guy's getup. Whoa. No way I want to see 5 of those dudes coming my way. Great googly-moogly! A 35 points character with full dial Imperv looks broken, but it's all about focus fire. It's really just one guy with Imper, 1 with inv, 1 with tough, 1 with CR and 1 plain jane. The fact that they have L/C or plasticity on those first couple clicks means that good luck with that focus fire part.
I just absolutely love this guy. Of course, I'd need like 10. Good thing he's a common and you don't work for WK, or I'd go broke.
I really like how you make range value this guys main focus. He's a shooter. Some nice RCE at the end to offset the dropping CVs. But oh how I love that his trait plops him into the opponent's range. What a sweet take that is.
I'm beginning to see how this team could match up well against any superman themed team. This guy's pseudo-leadership tied to the outwit is so powerful and effective. The fact that he also had leadership on this rookie dial means this guy is a steal when you pair him up with some intergang agents. Have him pulling tokens off the heavy of your squad after using some schmo to outwit superman's impervious - viciously delightful.
And I haven't even gotten to the good stuff. That you get no victor points power makes this rookie such a stand out for 25 points.
For 30 points the perplex is another great grab.
My only complaint about the dial is I feel the vet version a slight let down.
It is probably the one I am most likely not to play, unless I'm looking specifically for enhancement.
Though, it is really not a complaint. I mean you have made three extremely playable dials in one. Even the vet is well worth his points.
Man you are on a roll. This is just a freaking incredible design. That attack power is just about as perfect as I've seen. You've captured the effect so well and so elegantly. She's not overpowered or underpowerd. (see Phantom Girl and Kitty Pryde for many variations on this effect that are not nearly as well efficiently designed as this. It's really a nice accomplishment.
Such a nice touch to put it on the attack track too. Allows you to get some sidestep in there to help with positioning for the SP.
I like his specialized outwit. Odds are you will be facing at least one opponent with that. Especially in this set.
Full dial charge is so nice on a bruiser like Rock. It makes his top dial so powerful when combined with his self leadership...and the IM: destroy blocking...and plasticity...
Bonus points for the Damage SP flavor text and the toughness. Oh man. He's been quarried. So choice.
I thought WK did a half decent job with Parasite in the JLU set. Now that I see your version, (A) it's not a prime and (B) does a better job and is easier to play.
I will admit seeing the 25 pts dials I was a little surprised. But I love it. He is the perfect foil for the rest of the Superman Revenge Squad to play off of. Also, the shifty-focusy thing is great for the guy.
I almost ended my comments there, but I wanted to say some more about the dial.
Bizarro Charge isn't too bad either. And you still get a great dial on top of all that.
The contrast between the exp and rookie dials is startling, but they both play very well, the rookie much more in line with the classic bizarro #1 conception.
This might be a playable 300 pts brainiac. He's definitely worth it at the rookie line. 300 pts is hard to pull off. The calculation tokens and the raw values he's sporting might be enough.
Not bad for a skittles dial. I love that he is all about dial. The flavor text is top notch. I get it now. This guy loves earth and hates space and aliens.
All I can think is this would give me more badguy cowboys to play against the Marvel cowboys in your last set
Which reminds me. This guy should have had a horse pog mechanic.
He might not be the fanciest, but like a hammer to the face how fancy do you need to be to get the job done!

you know, he's shown up a bunch in various media and things, and was a recurring b-lister for superman. i'm surprised he hasn't been clixed. especially in the rev days, he seems like the type. he's got great KWs, bringing a megaton of power of to them, especially assassin and intergang.
i designed the 90pt first. a potent slugger that can nuke you, too as an option. and then i built upon it with the 2 clicks and the to just make the whole thing pop. increasing dmg dealt is HUGE, even with merely being a +1. it was mainly meant to make his multi-pw hit harder, but i really liked the interaction with the _CE powers. he's not trying to be clever, he's just trying to get misguided revenge against superman (how ironic he was never in the revenge squad).
