And another thing:
(Sorry for the multiple posts. My thoughts are a little disjointed because I've had a few glasses of wine tonight.)
"If you're a town JK, why hasn't the mafia messed with you yet?"
I don't know, maybe it has something to do with the fact that I never power claimed until just now? Yes, a few people pieced it together, but that doesn't mean that everyone was certain of it.
Warmaker/RenegadeRoy
Astros/Grinner - obviously these are confirmed town (to me)
Metal Hog/DestructoBoy - DBoy blocked a kill on me, allegedly. Grinner bodyguards Dboy last night and there is no other kill. Always the possibility I'm missing something but 95% town here.
Starbird/viciousbuddha
Stormcrawler/StormCrawler - neutral feelings on both here. Maybe VB is more on the scummy side and SC is more on the townie side, but this is kind of the "dividing line." SC targeting Grinner last night when A) Grinner hit his target and B) didn't die, speaks well for SC...
Venus/Dolceandbanana - seems to be making town moves. Still learning Dolce as a player, but seems semi-consistent with other games where they were town. Just not enough data in this game.
Scott Gordon/Rokk_Krinn
Shackleton/JohannaMason - I think one of these two is scum, or both. Rokk seems laser focused on JM, which isn't a rarity for Rokk, but the logic isn't there for me. I understand this is ironic given I also have JM in this section, but for different reasons. JM's targeting seems convenient, and JK feels like a scum role...
Not bad. I'm not too far off of this myself. I'd put Destructo above you, but you made the list so...
I did have an interesting thought, though - what if Rokk & JM are both town and are just coming off bad with the way they're butting heads? That would narrow our scum down to VB, Storm and/or Dolce. And unless JM & Rokk are evil together, at least one of those three has to be evil if you aren't.
I have already stated that this was a simple misunderstanding and apologized for it. The fact that you've kept hounding me after this is what makes me suspicious of you. I made an honest mistake, I owned up to it, yet you still keep holding it against me.
Wouldn’t you claim it was an honest mistake / misunderstanding if you’re Mafia and it didn’t pan out? That’s why I haven’t dismissed it.
"Nobody important? That's amazing. You know, in 900 years of traveling time and space I've never met someone who wasn't important."

If so, that means VB is the Message Sender. He targeted you last Nite (I told you, I’m an Inheritor and I inherited the Tracker role when the original role holder died). Being he acted both naive about it, and the message I got was trying to sow distrust of Roy, I don’t feel the Message Sender would be Town friendly in that scenario.

As of now I think that JM not mentioning anything about a message until I pressed about seems more cagey to me. Because if you don't know the alignment of who sent the message to begin with, who are you protecting?
Also I would like to know what the message says. Why withhold that information from us?
Hybridity: Rise of the Mutants
Night Four Protect and Serve
____"So what's our plan?" Asked Venus, as the group snuck through hall after hall and room after room.
____"We should locate Father," said Metal Hog. "He will protect us from this Hunter."
____"Ja," said Stormcrawler. "And he will know how to kill it."
____"No," said Scott. "We can handle this, it's on us."
____"Scott," said Venus. "Bless yer heart, but you're gonna get us killed. Ma vines can barely keep that rascal at bay."
____"Actually, I'm with Scott," said Detective Joe. "Your Father won't want to see us."
____"Why's that?" asked Scott.
____Astros and Detective Joe exchanged a look.
____Then Shackleton cut in and said, "Because your Father is an asshoIe! Are you blind?"
____Then he saw his reflection in Scott's visor. "Excusez moi," he said sheepishly.
____"He's here," Said Stormcrawler, tilting his head.
____The group froze. Somewhere the strong, rhythmic steps of the Hunter drew near.
____"Stormcrawler," said Scott. "Check if the bird is still in the nest, it might be our only way out of here."
____Stormcrawler nodded and with a crack he was gone.
____Seconds later the wall beside them burst out and the Hunter's claw drove forward into Metal Hog's shoulder.
____"Arghhh! Why me!"
____The others tried to keep the Hunter back, but it was no use. Metal Hog pushed them back and in his deep voice he said, "Go comrades, I will buy you time."
____"He'll kill you!" Shouted Starbird.
____"Then I will die protecting my family. Now run! Go! Find Father!"
____The others tried to stay and help, but Metal Hog wouldn't have it and forced them out. He stayed and fought as well as he could against the Hunter, smashing and charging and throwing his foe against the wall. But he took slice after slice, cut after cut, and without the full extent of his armor, he soon became awash with blood.
____Eventually he spit out part of a tusk and gurgled. "Why do you fight us? We are your own kind."
____"My own kind," said the Hunter. "Bub, you're nothin' to me. You abandoned me to rot in that vat. Never being born. Never dying. I watched time drip away like the green acid that ate at my body. And where were you? My family. My blood. I emerged alone on a cold floor with no name. But I have one now, Wrath, because that's all I am. That's all you made me."
____"We didn't know you were there! But someone did, someone set you free."
____"I don't care."
____In the end, there was nothing but strips of hog and a bloodstained floor.
____Astros knew that life needed protection. He routinely thought that evil existed in the absence of action, in the spaces where good and honorable people shied away from protecting the most vulnerable. No matter how hard it might be, he made a point of always trying to protect others. And he was damn good at it.
____After Metal Hog's sacrifice, Astros found himself separated with Starbird. They wandered through the mansion's halls trying to find the others and reconnect their group, but someone had severed the connection on their comms.
____"This feels reminiscent, in the worst kind of way," said Astros, as he thought about his time at the Ceres facility.
____Starbird didn't seem to mind though. She had a cheerful, bouncy attitude and her face seemed to light up as she spoke. "It is okay! I'm confident my family will find each other and together we'll bring whoever's doing this to justice!"
____"That's a good view to have, they deserve to be in jail."
____"No, no! I said justice! We need to put a bullet in their heads."
____Astros raised an eyebrow. Had he heard her right? The content of her words sounded so strange coming from such an easy, optimistic voice.
____"I wouldn't call that justice," he said. "Murder, maybe."
____Starbird shrugged nonchalantly. "Well, perhaps you are simply weak Mr. Naut of the Astros." She giggled.
____He narrowed his gaze. "I don't know about that. I think it's harder to do the right thing all the time. It shows character."
____"The right thing..." Starbird repeated, as they made their way towards the Armory. After a time she turned to him, with almost pity in her eyes. "You have a child's view of the world."
____"I doubt it," he said, unsure if he should feel insulted or not.
____"It's okay," she said. "You're probably just naive and don't know much about history. You're missing so much around you!"
____"I don't think wanting to arrest people makes me naive. A lot of people can't defend themselves, and could use some protecting sometimes, even from themselves. The world is a hard place and I want to try to make it better."
____"You need to look around sometime, this world is a beautiful place, especially for those who know what to do with it. But you have it so backward. You can't look at failing communities and neighbourhoods and think, 'Oh wow I should get on my white horse and protect them!' no, you need to see them for the opportunities that they are." She began skipping, as she spoke. "Take Bludhaven for example, so many people with no money and no futures ruined by manufacturing jobs drying up and moving away, plus the mob moving in. And you think what, arresting the mob will fix any of that? Then you're missing out! These people in Bludhaven are desperate, hopeless and just need an escape. So we push powder, we push pills, we push any little release from reality that these people need. We drive off the mob and we secure our little stake in the city, especially with the police and the governor, and anyone that messes with our logistics gets - how do you say it - chipped teeth?"
____Astros stopped in the hallway and stared hard at the bubbly girl in the blue armor. The way she spoke was so direct, so confident, and without a hint of remorse. It sent a chill up his back.
____"How can you do that to people? You're destabilizing entire communities..."
____"Yeah, of people!" She laughed. "Who cares? It's just people. They're one step above dogs. They're not the future, mutants are. We have our hands in everything, why should we care what people think?"
____"I'm a person," he said, dumfounded. "Right in front of you."
____"Yeah," she said putting her hand on his shoulder. "But you're one of the good ones."
____As they left the Armory, Astros took a shallow breath. His hand shook slightly from the adrenaline coursing through him. "You should be arrested for all you've done, and all you continue to do."
____She gave him a look of disappointment. "Okay, arrest me then. My family will pay to have me released in less than a day. We'll bribe a judge. We'll bribe the judge's family. By the end of it all, my Father will be smoking a cigar with him on the weekends!" She laughed and shook her head, as if the sheer thought was a joke.
____In that moment the reality of what the mutants were really settled on Astros. Why was he so surprised? They were science experiments raised by homicidal maniacs. He'd heard the rumours of the things they did in other countries, in the political figures that went missing trying to oppose them.
____The mutants were a tumor.
____Then where did that leave him? He knew he needed to protect those around him, yet this girl was a ghoul. Was it her fault? Maybe, maybe not. She was raised to be this way. Or, maybe she always had it in her and she was designed by Essex to be this way long before she was born. He wondered if she could be saved, but when he stared into her hollow eyes there was no true light staring back. She was a husk. A vampire wearing stolen flesh.
____Killing her meant he'd save a lot of people in the long run. He'd protect entire communities. But who was he to make that decision? Was he an executioner, or if he did nothing then was he simply another person failing to act when the choice was so clear?
____She was right. He was naive. Try as he might, he couldn't protect everyone all the time.
____He couldn't protect himself.
____As Starbird walked in front of him, Astros aimed his blaster and fired it at her back.
____She hit the ground in a heap.

Sorry to see Rokk step out, but welcome back killingjoke!
Not to put you on the spot right away, but any update on last night? I keep thinking about the role claim, and in a game where all the roles are revealed upon death, it feels a tad bit convenient to just get the role of who died. Do you now have both the messenger and bodyguard ability?
The second death seems straight up Astros, wondering if Grinner can shed some light or if there are shenanigans?
