I saw an idea posted by another user that sounds dirty as can be, but I'm dying to try it. Run a Future Keyword team with 3 Inertias on it. Anybody with a speed 16 or less would have their speed cut to 2 if you could get all 3 Inertia's within six squares of them. I had never seen this idea posted, but I'm just sick enough to try it.
I've seen it done. It actually doesn't work as well as you think. You can't move, but if you have range you can just shoot Inertia. If you use it against someone that isn't too good, then it annoys them to no end.

One of the guys at my venue has been talking about doing that forever, but he's never actually done it to my knowledge. He even has the three Inertias, and then some just in case.

Saw another neat idea, but it would only work on larger point teams as the figure itself isn't enough to win a game. Stick 3 Gabe Jones LEs on a Shield or Howling Commandos team to give every figure an automatic +3 to movement. Makes Quasar, Nick Fury, Steve Rogers, Shield Cap or Ice Cap even more scary.

I remember discussing it back when BATB came out. In theory you get them so that the enemy can't move towards you, while you just hop in and out HSS attacking them. Like it was mentioned before, Range is the main thing against them. The only saving grace may be certain maps that let you hide behind walls that are within 6 squares of them so that they can't shoot.
It's like Michael Jordan going to the YMCA to play basketball.

That's why I said it would have to be a theme team, so that you'd have a better chance at an indoor map.
I'm pretty sure I have 3 or 4 Inertias, but looking at my choices for Modern Future keyworded figures, I just don't think it's feasible. Although I see Stryfe and I think that he and a whole bunch of clones of Inertia could be somewhat thematic. Just finding the right characters at the right point value to make it work would be tricky.
Have you seen any of the new Futurama yet? I hear it's good but I didn't love last season.
The first NEW season that Comedy Central ran was a bit slow and wasn't the greatest, but they seem to have hit their stride with the newest season. Last night's episode was funny.

The first new season hit the same lame notes that plague The Simpsons now more times than I was willing to put up with (ie, substituting references to pop technology for jokes), but I'm willing to give it another try. I'll probably watch a few this weekend and catch up if I like what I see.

Skipping Superman????? But the sets sold out already!
I'm not even playing right now and I really want to pick up some of them. Luckily, most of what I want shouldn't be too expensive. I'm holding onto a Smokeyfoot Cap so that I can try to trade for some of the rares and UCs and Commons that I want.
I just meant I was not spending 300 dollars on this one like I have been doing. Ill have the c/uc/r set for sure. I'm kinda fed up with DC right now with the second reboot in less then ten years. I'm gotta strong feeling Grifter or another Wildstorm guy might show up.

I'm ok with the reboot. I'm only going to buy the Lantern books, but I'll probably download some of the others (like Justice League) and check them out.

I just love how the ads for the Superman set said that it included characters from the "WILDLY POPULAR" Flashpoint crossover. The poster was up before Flashpoint even came out IIRC.
