Very smart. I treat new tech this way (game systems, etc...). Give it time for the woes to surface and go from there!
Yeah, the expense and annoyances of being an "early adopter" of anything takes a good combination of high income, time and adaptability -- or an overwhelming need to be able to say "First!" I'm really not any of those things.
I'd like to lay claim to adaptability, and I can at times, but I'm afraid that my default mode is to be stubbornly inflexible and as resistant to change as if it was being done solely to vex me. It's one of those big character flaws I'm trying to correct. Admitting a problem is the first step.
I'm inclined to grumble about the basic way it was designed because I drive a Jeep Cherokee '97.
The wheelbase, underhood layout, and basic interior layout bug the hell out of me.
But, for the most part it runs solid. The stuff that's gone wrong with it is all the basic stuff that happens when you own a vehicle long-term.
For me, the WORST thing about the Explorer we had was the back end. It's way too light in snow. When we had our set of snow tires put on, we kept the summer tires in the back for some weight which helped. Of course, that kills space that could be used for transporting other stuff. heh

I love geeky-techy goodness, but I'm also willing to wait for it no matter how cool it looks. Like you, I really don't care about being first. I'd rather see the real-world problems pop up and get fixed (hopefully).

Yeah, I create enough problems for myself without paying a premium for new ones.
The guy who's probably my best friend (always difficult and probably not advisable to try too hard to quantify such things) also happens to be our company's IT guy. As such, he's someone who has to deal with each new change, including people who are buying new toys and then want someone to make it work for them. That's as close as I want to get to most of it.
Okay, great. What would you cut? What would you add?
You only really have one attacker, so they are going to focus their team on that figure then just tear through the support...I am looking for something to replace Gee and Lightspeed that can work as both support a bit as well as a decent attacker while getting you as close to 300 points as possible.

Do you have any ideas? I need both a taxi and a Telekinesis figure to ensure that I get the first shot in absolutely as frequently as possible and then am not stuck standing there like a chump to be hit back by their Bullseye, but they could both be done by the same figure. If the starter Cosmic Boy was still in it would be him for sure, but he isn't. Isis seems like a decent combination of support and secondary attacker, but I'd have to cut more than just Gee and Lightspeed to get her on. I could cut Gee, Lightspeed, and Impossible Man and use her for Probability Control with a new dedicated Outwitter, I guess.

I posted a thread in the Artisans Guild last night, showing off the Yellowjacket I made. I had a guy message me offering to trade me this...
JLA054 Doomsday
JLA055 Green Lantern
MM Living Monolith
Vet Echo
... if I made him one. My problem is I don't have enough mod fodder to duplicate it. I need a UL Sidewinder for the gloves and boots and SI Yellowjacket to duplicate my Mod. I need the YJ for the shoulder wings, but would like to have the human dial to complete the Mod. Can any of you help me with this?

Look at GSX Angel...that is what I was looking at...

Wow, yeah, you get to hear all the craziness up close but don't have to deal with it! lol
I can wait on Superman anything. I lean more toward Marvel, in general. I collect all clix but really don't expect anything great (for me) out of Superman EXCEPT (hopefully) for a Silver freakin' Banshee and Superman Beyond (the only Superman figure I've ever looked forward to because I love Batman Beyond). The rest will be just filler unless they put some random surprises of characters I actually like in there.
That's pretty much MY outlook on that set.
