I saw that my Fiend deck loved to revive itself over and over again, so I added Card of Safe Return, which allowed me to drop Airknight and place MEfist in it's place again. And when I did that, I wanted MORE revival, so I put Puppet Magic and when I did that, I saw that I removed a lot of monsters from play, so I added Dimension Fusion to the mix and now I can place 3, 4 or 5 monsters on the field in one or two turns.
I loved that, so I put more monster removal and I added 2 Sakuretsu Armor, 1 more Smashing Ground (to total 3) and 2 Fissures.
And the end Result is a deck that can swarm, draws and uses a LOT of Monster removal to clear the field for a quick 5,000 - 6,000 Damage.

anyone, does anyone make use of Lesser Fiend in their decks atm? I've just started using it and its great. It is 5* (for Balter), great effect (negates loads of things) and is strong enough to stand up to Gorillas (which are common place these days)
Yep, Im a rabid user of lesser fiend. You also forgot to mention, Archon, That he is an archfiend. Thats the best part about him, especially when I have pandemonium on the field.
Dark Necrofear
(Labyrinth of Nightmare, Duelist League 2) This card cannot be Normal Summoned or Set. This card can only be Special Summoned by removing from play 3 Fiend-Type monsters in your Graveyard. If this card is destroyed as a result of battle or by your opponent's card effect while it is a Monster Card, it is treated as an Equip Card during the End Phase of this turn, and equip 1 of your opponent's monsters with this card. As long as it is equipped with this card, you control the equipped monster.
Don’t get me wrong. I’ll ALWAYS use Necrofear. I SWEAR, I will. I’ll also run her son, Brain Jacker.

This is bad. Real bad. Suddenly, Necrofear loses her purpose in my Fiendish Fun deck. Before, I could shrug off the 3 cards removed for her, since she just kept on coming back, but now... Now I have a problem. Hmm...
Here's hoping they don't pull the same thing with Gilfer...
That's not the point. The point is, now Necrofear wont come back if she's MST'd or whatever. Which was what I was abusing in my Fiendish Fun deck. Basically, in my deck, you couldn't attack since Necro was holding your own powerful monster, and you couldn't bomb Necro since she just came back. Now that wont work anymore, so there's no point in me keeping the single Necrofear in my deck. My deck is all about fear and deterrence, and a one-shot-wonder that can simply be removed with standard S/T removal is hardly terrifying or detering.
Gees, I'm gone for one extra day and everything goes nuts again... 8^D
Des: I know this was two pages ago, but I wanted to chime in on some thoughts with deck synergy. Part of the synergy with fiends that they really thrive on activity. Its not necessarily just summoning of the Jeroid followed by the attack of another, but its everything going on in the duel. Its opening with a Cyber Jar flip so that you get your field full. Potentially a Goblin King lock with a Jeroid to lower your opponents monster and that opens a tribute for the Dark Ruler in your hand and some Necrofood waiting for you. Its the Bark of Dark Ruler cost on a Brain Jacker flip so that you get to grab their Jinzo/BLS. Its all of these nuances that lethal, but timing is critial. I learned this one the hard way at my regional two weeks ago. I was too eager just to go in and start swinging. The only time that worked out well was when I was able to open with a Mefist summoning and my opponent had nothing to protect themselves.
As Waldo said, get to know your deck. I'd add get to know the EPV of your deck so you know when the timing is perfect, what costs you the least to get rolling and when the big hit will come in. My right eye of my deck (RFP) had the best time during my regional because it forced me to see the timing issues more. I had to wait until the Necrofear/Banisher put 9 cards out of play and they had just wasted their Hallowed Life Barrier against Necrofear, out comes Gren Maju and its over 8^D
A lot of what happens in fiend decks happens behind the scenes, I'm coming to find, and that's what makes them all the more difficult, and more deadly to duel with.

As for the Necrofear ruling...that was pretty sad. It wasn't like it was broken in the first place or anything. My personal theory, Dark Necrofear is what BLS-EotB is like over here, so they had to limit its vindictiveness to some degree. So we'll have to use some more Monster Reincarnation or Return from the Different Dimension to reset her.
I still will keep the Dark Lady in my deck. Let's face it. Once they're in the graveyard, most of your fiends aren't going to get revived. This makes the cost of Necrofear next to nothing, especially since the Dark Ruler and 'Pomie can't be revived. Add Kuriboh, and you've met your COST and preserved Mefist or Slate to bring back in a pinch. Having its own Brain Jacker effect is still priceless, and 2200 ATK to boot is nothing to scoff at. 8^D

Actually, that errata was to line us up with the Japanese game...ever since Necrofear came out in the OCG, it's ALWAYS only gotten its 'returning' effect when it was killed as a monster card, but UDE or whoever translates these (for some reason) didn't fix the mistranslation in the US for a loooong time.
Btw, I've got a little idea brewing for a Fiend metamorphosis deck...I'll only give you one hint...Mystic Tomato and Great Maju Garzett!
Yea, I am starting to see the light of the syn with Fiends. I was looking too hard at the actual effects/costs of the cards and not enough at the "whole picture". I know it is kind of confusing; but if you play fiends you should be able to understand what I am trying to say.
I wont say much about my deck, except that it is an Archfiend deck in development.
That necrofear ruling doesn't really bother me. Now I am no expert on fiends yet, but they only have Breaker, MST, and Heavy Storm in there deck that can get that effect to work anyhow. And if they play Giant Trunade, they are just helping you out.
It's a shame that the ruling on Necrofear has to overshadow the fact that we surpassed the "1900 post" point on this thread. We now officially are at Archfield Soldier level. Keep going until we hit Ha Des, and beyond!
Oh, and deep shame and all that about Necrofear, but the deck will go on!
