I know diddly-squat about the Legion, save what I learned from the Superman: Animated Series, which wasn't anything at all really. I just know the very basics.
I jumped on this series for 3 reasons:
1) Geoff Johns and George Perez.....it couldn't miss from that standpoint.
2) I'd have a chance at a fresh "jumping on" point for Legion. I tried one issue of the Waid version, just couldn't handle how "hip" it was I guess, and dropped it cold.
3) I knew some major stuff would go down, and Superman-Prime's ongoing story is very interesting to me.
After 4 issues I've never been more thrilled with a current book. Conner Kent coming back (yes, very easy to forsee, as was Impulse) made me VERY happy. Both were great characters before they were tapped to die.
I would wait 1/2 year for this book, that's how much I feel is packed in every issue, every panel and every word. For those of us not bogged down in Legion continuity it's a ton of fun.

Maybe this is a plan to get Peter david/Young Justice back?
But Superboy Prime as the inspiration for the LoSV? Come on.
Superboy Prime is the Time Trapper? My eyes rolled so hard that I had to have them realigned.
I'm not sure why Johns thinks he has to use Superboy Prime as the villain for ever event/mini he does. He's not even that interesting. Hell, he's probably the villain in the completely unnecessary Flash: Rebirth. In IC he at least symbolized something, but now he's just "Bad Superman LOL" a role that Bizarro fills much better.

Right on Carlos, this book rocks.
Yes, it also this is the followed chapter in the Infinite Crisis/ Sinestro Wars storyline. and it a great chance to know the Legion for fans who don't know them (as me).
Come on people, Perez is drawing EVERY Legion member ever right? how cool is that?

Not quite that cool if he's drawing dead ones. Now if he winds up drawing a dead Superboy Prime, I could probably get down with that.
I want these clixed: Doc Savage, Fu Manchu, Tarzan, The Shadow, The Green Hornet & Kato, Conan, Solomon Kane, The Phantom, King Kong, Universal Monsters, Black Orchid, Manhunter (Paul Kirk), Xemnu the Titan, unclixed Kirby Fourth World characters, and Lilith, Daughter Of Dracula.

Rep'd for dead Prime.
Perez is awesome. For the Avengers/JLA joint he drew every character that ever a member of either team. His attention to detail is unparalleled and was the perfect choice for a book like this.

I'm sad to see poor Zoe go. If any Legionnaire with potential was completely botched time and again it was Kinetix, and now she comes to an inglorious end without any chance of saving her.
Hmmm... I thought Kinetix's return was set up pretty well in #4, almost telltale. Mordru talks about absorbing her magic upon her death, and Mysa elaborates. Lotta postmortem detail there.
We see the eventual results of Mordru's absorption powers in #2, when he calls upon Glorith, Dragonmage and others who "died by pain and torture at my hand." The husks of Glorith and the gang rise up, and Dawnstar says they're animated shells and not alive. But because of all the tricks to be played with the rules of magic, what happens when Mordru absorbs the magic of someone he didn't kill? Even though Kinetix battled Mordru at the beginning of #4, she is killed by SBP.
So there's ways for Kinetix to come back. Even if that isn't in Johns' plans and all that I detailed is just coincidence, it's there for some future Legion writer to pick up.
Matter-EaterLad Snack List: Time Gem, Remaker
Etrigan Prime Transformation List: Blackhawk Pilot, Per Degaton

Gotta love the loopholes.
But as far as Time Trapper being "a personification of Entropy" who's identity keeps changing... um, isn't that just what happened HERE? And in a couple years, he'll no longer be Prime, but instead someone else?
I dunno... it seems like the "OMG IT'S PRIME TRAPPER AUGH!" complaints miss that point. Now, I'm not an avid LOSH follower, so maybe I missed something about that. But I don't think the whole "reveal" is a big deal.
(And as far as Rond Vidar/Sodam Yat are concerned... it sounds to me like Yat will try and restart the Corps. Which means he'll probably take a back seat as the Guardian of the Corps and let new recruits take up the slack. But he isn't going to be actively bouncing in the LOSH I wouldn't think.)

You're right here and this is most likely the case. I think Johns having free-range with changing continuity is what worries people that the Time Trapper really is/has been Prime.

I like that explanation of Time Trapper
hope it gets better in the final book.
