My only question to that is, who does a random lynch help.
Yes it helps us towns folk if we get lucky and nail a mob member but if not then we are just doing the mobs work for them... It would be nice if we had any kind of lead to go with.
Who is the more foolish? The fool, or the fool who follows him?

Shel HAS to be Snake. It's the only character that fits, based on the write-up. That is, unless someone had items.
As far as the shadowy creature goes, I doubt they're a serial killer. I'd say they're currently just the Mafia's hit...thing. They killed Solid Shel, and then a fellow mafia member, knowing that Solid Shel was going to bite it tonight, janentored them.
We do have a lead, though. There was what appears to be an unsuccessful killing last night (either a Serial Killer or a Second Mafia), one that was stopped by someone else with a blocking power. Now if they have some way of directing us to who they targeted last night without actually revealing themselves (and putting a target on their back), we'll have our lynch target.
Ok for a lack of anything better to do right what characters do you see having what abilities in this game. Like who do you think would be the doctor, or role blocker, ect and why.
To be hones I"m having hard time figuring it out. The only one I could think of would be
Samas Aran - Town Vigilante
other than than I'm realy not sure.

I'm thinking pdberry may be lying. Either no one calls him out on his claim of doctor, or someone does and his fellow mafiosoes kill the doctor that night. I'm only afraid he might be a bomb and that's all part of his plan.

I'd rather not do this. If we decide that someone is the doctor, and then that person has to claim a character, they are going to be killed under the assumption they are the doctor, even of they are not. Besides, every character in this game could be justified to have several powers. To use your example, Samus could be a vig, but I could also see her as a tracker or a cop etc.
As I see it, the probable to possible IDs for Shel are -
Solid Snake - Grenade
Pokemon Trainer - Pokeball
Link - Bomb (actually throws the bomb)
Toon Link - Bomb (actually throws the bomb)
Of course, there is some ambiguity there; we could be interpreting the writeup incorrectly, or Reibello didn't intend it to be analyzed with such scrutiny. But the point is achieved: janitoring is going to be happening and RCs can be tenuous.
Regarding the Shadow Bugs' affiliation, we should be able to puzzle out more based on future writeups.
Hopefully someone found some useful info (or blocked someone interesting) last night. If not, random probing based on hunches sounds like a thought. Don't know if I like the prospect of knowing just about as much as I did at the end of Day 2 as I did on the start of Day 1. Also, bonus on asking probing questions; when we find out information as a group, janitoring becomes less effective.

Fine I'll stop.
I was just trying to encourage some discussion of some sort. The night has been moving slow and I'm getting board with not knowing anything.

Also, interesting question: 3 players silenced? How does that happen? Either we have a surprising amount of people with the silencing power, or something weird like a Paranoid Ballgag Owner. I must admit that the idea of a town, mafia, and neutral silencer makes slightly more sense, but I'm not sure.

Don't forget the possibility of it being an effect. Either a Mr. Freezie or a broken Shield, or that thing that makes you stuck in the ground could also paralyze someone and therefore, silence them.

Or, potentially, the Ice Climbers can freeze two people (There are two Ice Climbers Initially, remember) and Lucas can freeze one. Freeze being a power that at least silences people, and potentially does more.

True, there are multiple options on how and why people could be silenced, I'm just surprised to see so many go off at once. I guess if you're a townie inventor with the role of "That Player Who Always Makes Sure To Have An Item", it might make sense to use the most town-unfriendly power you have first, get it out of the way before you have better things to do.

You and your impressive knowledge of the game. Now you're making my theoretical "That Player Who Always Seems To Have An Item" role sound silly.

Or Diddy Kong with a banana peel. And he seems most likely to be asleep to me.
You know that one actually makes the most seance. He is actually sleeping in part of the game.
Not to mention I could see that is kid of a built in defensive power.
Dropping his Banana peel will block himself from being targeted a certain percentage of the time.
