This is under the assumption that you already have a printer and internet. Asking a kid/new player trying to break into the game who doesn't have a $100.00 printer or internet at home, or even the internet and printing savvy to be able to make their own proxys reverts to the same argument that said kid/new player couldn't afford to purchase a $20.00 Warbound if you ask me.
And all the above aside, while I DO have a color printer and internet at home, I personally do not want weak black and white print outs to bring down the quality of my collection. I want the same quality HoT Feats and BFC's that we have come to expect from prior releases. WizKids is forcing me to become a Heroclix handyman and the end result will still be cheap imitation knockoffs that stand out for their inferior quality.
be careful friend. i made a post like this earlier and it didn't turn out pretty for me.

It wasn't pretty because the notion "Asking a kid/new player trying to break into the game who doesn't have a $100.00 printer or internet at home, or even the internet and printing savvy to be able to make their own proxys reverts to the same argument that said kid/new player couldn't afford to purchase a $20.00 Warbound if you ask me." ignores one of the get parts of this game.
Fellowship.
People are willing at all the venues I go to to share their stuff. Need an extra Fortitude? Not a problem, one's available. Need an additional Con Artist (and who doesn't?)? I'll loan you mine.
I can easily see people printing out copies and having them available for loan. Or even to just give out.
I am in awe of the cool and awesome people here on HCR!

Agreed. I have yet to see an arguement that adequately supports the "PnP is bad for the Heroclix gamescape" premise.
I see plenty of "I don't like PnP" which is different due to its personal slant. I 'm not concerned with these comments as much due to their highly subjective nature.

I wish someone would print out nice color copies of all these Chase figures (and character cards I need) and sell them here on the realms. I can laminate them myself. But i would certainly buy nice color copies from someone at a reasonable price just so I dont have to do it myself I don't use them, but now with PnP, I may actually try to start using chase figures.
That being said, I am definitely for PnP. VgA, I was unaware there was a professional Clix circuit that someone's lower-quality print card would detract from. I would rather the guys who paid $100 bucks for a rare chase figure use the money for hot water and soap for daily use instead of stinking up the tournament venue, lol.
But seriously, I respect your opinion, I just really have not read a single valid opinion that would justify NOT allowing for print and play of chase figures. Do you feel that having access to chase figures to which others do not have access gives you the advantage to win tournaments? If so, then that in itself is the best arguement for print and play of chase figures I can think of. I think the anti-PnP camp may be made up of the people who got into clix well after the advent of the chase figures element was introduced. I started with IC, and I still hardly ever use chase figures, unless it is sealed and I need the points(I hate fielding a team that is too much under the point restriction!), but even when I do have a chase figure on the team, I don't even use it during play, unless my opponent reminds me and asks why I am not using it. Other than sustaining the gap between the "haves" and "have nots", I do not understand why anyone would be against PnP of chase figures.
And yes, I read the entire 10 page thread and still have not seen a single valid point against PnP of chase figures.
So far, almost every argument I have read in support of Print and Play could be applied to chase and LE figures as well.
I have said that I am for PnP and I am. I just think it's funny that the arguments could be applied to other aspects of the game.
The biggest gripe I have seen is the cost of Warbound and Protected and why should someone have to pay that price to get a peice of cardboard. The same applies to chase figures. Why should I have to pay $130 for a Chase Superman just to have a powerful figure for my Superman universe team? If you can print out feats than why not rare figures? Don't we want the playing field to be level. If someone is running the chase Superman almost every week, shouldn't I be able to as well?
Subsitute Warbound in place of chase Superman in the above paragraph and you have the majority of the arguments for PnP.

I think it more accurate to say having feats be "collectable" in the 1st was a bad idea.
Feats at heart are rules/game mechanics not playing pieces. Rather than parallel them with chases/le how about we consider if the rulebook/PAC were "collectible".
Want to make a HSS attack? Sorry you don't have that section of the PAC yet.... it can be had on ebay for $35 though.
Sorry your opponent doesn't have to obey the Rule of 3 if you haven't "collected" that page of the rulebook.......

The rulebook is a collectible, you have to buy a starter set to get one.
The new action packs, aimed at new players don't even let newbies know how to play.
YES WE DID SAVE HEROCLIX !
Now thank us by taking care of the people that take care of you.

Ah but it's free download. See Print and Play has been around since day 1

Why? When I first started playing I looked at how many figures there were vs how many feats/BFCs. I (as a collector) knew I could collect all the cardboard much quicker than all the figures. So that was what I worked on first. I have all the cardboard pieces that are available for Heroclix. I'm still working on the figures.
What someone chooses to collect is up to them, not up to what you or I think is something worthy of collecting.

We can consider anything you want to. But your example is just like mine, a made up story to prove our points.
However, if your example, I would say that you, since you do have that page of the rulebook, you have to obey the rule of 3. However, since I don't have that page it doesn't apply to me.
My main point is that there are a lot of guys jumping on those against PnP that are do so by making arguments that could be applied to the chase figures, to LEs, or even Super Rares. Not that I would agree with that argument, but some of the pro PnP guys need to tone it down a notch or two.
