I'd also like to welcome you chris This week should be a bit more straightforward and less headachey for newcomers.
Thursday 22nd march
Points 400
Build: Golden age. Battlefield conditions will be used, but drawn randomly from the whole set of them, rather than chosen and tailored to your force. We can do this in one of two ways. The first is simply that each player draws a random BFC before each game. Theme team ignores can be used to dismiss either. Alternatively, each player draws 3 BFCs at the start of the tournament and can choose which to play in each round. I'm looking for feedback as to which version we go with
The aim of this one is to see the whole spread of BFCs played, not just a select handful that get used week after week.
In addition, i have the formats for the next month or so mapped out in general form. These will be shifted around a little pending release dates for Galactic Guardians and Infinity Gauntlet 3. I'm always looking for interesting build ideas, so if you have a suggestion shoot it my way and I'll add it into the schedule
March 29 - "He's on a whole other level" 400 points golden age, your most expensive figure must be at least twice the points cost of the next highest costed peice on your team
April 5 - 600 points Comic accurate, Golden Age
April 12 - "Strange Weather Phenomena" 400points Golden age, outdoor maps only, roll on a table each round to see what strange weather manifests (Ie strong winds, rain, lightning, snow, hail etc)
April 19 - "Powering up!" 400 points golden age. In any round where a character doesn't act, or clear action tokens, put a power token on their card. In any turn a figure may spend a power token to increase any combat ability by 2.
April 26 - "Each Sold Seperately" - 400 pts golden age, All figures on your team must be from separate sets. Fast Forces and Gravity feeds count as part of their associated set if they have one.

There's an awful amount of 400 point builds there and 1 600 which was nice to see cant we mix it up some more with 300 point builds and 500 the effects for these games and the way they are built is great but will still include / exclude the same basic figures due to cost per team effectiveness.
P.S Welcome Chris next Thursday ill bring in some spare (but not useless figures) they may be of some help to you )

I agree that mixing up the points values is a decent idea. This has got my vote!

Agreed. It was basically a quick throw together of ideas, but I'll definately shakeup the build totals for more variety. Some of the builds work a lot better with different points values
What about

Just a heads up to people, that there will be a heroclix tournament at Eyecon this year, on sunday the 8th of april. The tournament will consist of 5 rounds, the first two will be a draft, and the next three will be 300 points constructed modern age. Prize support in the form of LEs and booster pulls will be available.
For the draft we are putting together packs of miniatures sourced from donations. We have already received some generous contributions towards these, but if you have spare figures that you would be willing to donate, bring them along to any of the next few thursday or sunday events at Good Games, and let the judge on the night know. Alternatively feel free to contact me and we can make arrangements
I know I was told at the last Sunday game what the build is for this Sunday... But I've forgotten. So my question is: What is the build for Sunday?
If memory serves me at all, I'm sure it was another IG event?
Cheers.
Man, i love duct tape. I love how it tapes. I love the sound that it makes. I love saying it.
Duct tape. Duct tape. Duct tape.
While I have no idea what the next sunday game is, i do know that GG has not yet received the op kit for IG3. Theyre due to receive it with Galactic guardians, but since IKON is notoriously unreliable, its not a certain thing
From memory what we agreed upon for Sunday 25th March was:
300 Pts Modern age.
Nice and simple from memory.... We all weren't having a very creative day. But there was also going to be another round of the Lord of the Rings set.
