And I wonder if those are the actual sculpts they'll use for the FF packs. That Ronan and Beta Ray Bill are from HOT and the Quasar is from Cap. If it is, I'm fine with that, but it'd be the first FF pack to have sculpts coming from multiple sets.
I'm hoping we get Smokey Feet Cap in Captain America Fast Forces, now that Wizkids is finally doing these right (by reusing older sculpts).

Yeah, that's the case. It's going to mix matters up considerably for those who are dealing with Modern Age, etc. going forward, but other than that it's just going to be more a matter of us getting (re-)used to how things were back in the REV era, as in having to look closer than the sculpt to know which version one's picking up.
Assuming that the numbers follow the rarity for Hulk.....Silver Surfer is a RARE!!!!! I'm assuming he'll have a similar sculpt as the Keeper, which is fine as I really liked that sculpt.
It's like Michael Jordan going to the YMCA to play basketball.

This does raise a possibility which in turn raises a question: Do you think people would be less bothered by sculpt re-use if it were stretched across two or three sets than they are currently with seeing the same sculpt used multiple times within a given set? Would it make a difference to you?
Looking at Hulk for examples, though, I'm at something of a loss. Punisher wouldn't work because the utililty of it lies in having the versions to swap between; we needed three to really kick that off. Daredevil, maybe? The leader of the Hand/possessed Matt version -- the one people are more excited to use -- would traditionally have been more of a Super Rare or, more often, LE version than one taking up a main slot in a set.
I think the sculpt element in Hulk is simply looking more intense than it really is because we're getting the main set, micro-set and FF Pack all at nearly the same time.
And from the looks of the GF, we'll be getting another Doom and Surfer there too. When does this set come out again?
Officially set for March, though one of the attendees at Clixathon said a rep referred to these as April -- which could have been a simple mistake. No specific date was referenced, so I wouldn't be surprised to see these slide back a week or two.

To be honest, neither particularly bothers me. I play for the characters and the dials. The sculpt is just a representation of said character / dial. I think if they are making lame remakes with reused sculpts, I might have somewhat of a niggle with it - but generally I don't care.
So WL Hal is in the mail heading my way. Once he gets here I will have all 11 =]
Congrats. You can't ask for more than having the full set completed in under a year from release day. Anything sooner than that and you probably overpaid.
Did I mention that I have had the full set for a while now?

Over the course of a year or so it would all wash out, but in the short term I'm thinking that people will respond better to seeing a wider array of characters within a given set, especially as they're trending smaller, rather than the same sculpt and different versions of the same character within a set.
The key matter for either scenario is that they put some more effort into dial design. If a given designer doesn't have any connection with/affinity for a given character, swap that assignment with someone who does.

I agree with this. Seeing 3 versions of Daredevil in the same set pisses me off. Seeing the reuse of Beta Ray Bill, Quasar, etc in future special smaller releases doesn't bother me in the least.
I do like your (I think it was you who said this earlier) idea that we are going towards the main set, FF, GF reuse replicating the REV mechanic. It would be nice if the dials reflected this.

Yeah, it struck me that that would go down easier.

I've agreed with it, but it's something I've seen pop up in enough places rapidly enough that it was most likely one of those "yeah, I agree with that" rolls for me.
I think they did a fairly nice and interesting job with the three Leaders we'll have by late next week. Not strictly an REV progression, but a shift in modes to suit different strategies. Each has marked differences, but each suits the character.
Really, the only glaring misstep IMHO was in putting the Trait they did on the main set one concerning the Humanoids. That should have been on the Humanoids themselves, reworded to make them contingent upon a friendly named Leader or The Leader. At home, that's how I'll be playing them. It's silly to tie them to just one version when we'll now have four (adding Mutations and Monsters, while forgetting the Xplosion one) good versions of him out there.
Barring an amazing power set, I may not try to get Galactus. I've got my custom one and I think I'm fine with it. (not to mention it just looks cooler )
