I live in Chicago, and can give you pointers to quite a few venues.

Whereabouts will you be, and when will you be free to play?

We met maybe 2 years ago in Chicago, but I ended up not playing you. It was a great venue in Chicago proper IIRC. The judge was SLvrsurfer or something right?

I have some leeway when I go. It is a pretty independent investigation and will require maybe 2 days in the Arlington Hts area.

I was going to pop over to you POG/OGRE guys and ask about Chi town, but I caught you over here!

I think I've only played with SLVR as judge once, that was in Downer's Grove last year. But we've played at the same place a few times. He lives pretty far out.

For Arlington Hts, you have options:

Games Plus in Mt Prospect. Friday nights, very casual, cool place. Haven13's home court. Haven can tell you more.

Chicagoland Games Dice Dojo on Saturday. In the city, so a bit of a drive (30 minutes? 40 maybe?) My home court. Saturday we're doing the National Qualifier, so I expect it to be competitive. 2 PM.

There may also be suburb games Sat and Sun that I am unaware of.

I know the feeling. Ignatz comes into my town once a year. He says he'll try to come to my venue to #### me, but he has never shown up, and while I've met him on a few occasions, we still have yet to have a chance ####.

I played in Rosemont? and Schaumburg a few years back. The venue in Schaumburg was as bad as I have ever been to.

I just got to play a rousing game of "Get our new cat out from under the bed to give him his medicine"! It took 15 minutes and a broom but I won in the end!

If you won without having scratches on your forearms or hands or neck, then you are skillful! Damn near lost an eye one time getting a cat into a cat carrier. Giving cats meds are right there with that.

Yes but the wife took him out for an ice cream code afterwards so it all worked out for him.
