So were not sure what the primes are for commons and srs? Or are the redials considered primes but not in the sense of the game mechanic? That way you can play them together but in boosters their considered the prime.
Or is it just a redials and repaint like the Spiderman from asm?

I'm going to go out on a limb here and guess that a lot of the a/b configurations are more in connection to which wave these pieces are a part of and less them being a prime (unless they have the green ring, of course).
I could be wrong, but it would make sense in more of a "storyline" fashion.
Still they could be like you said: primes in rarity but not in rules
I was hoping that but it does say two common primes, one uncommon, one rare, two sr primes PER wave... thats what had me nervous and confused. Trying to figure out the best way to get the full set without selling a kidney

Well you have two kidneys and currently no WoL figures....
OK, so here's a surprising 80's/90's collector's perspective...
Having only collected Green Lantern in the 1980's & 1990's, I figured this would be a very light set for me. I'm definitely interested in all Maps & Green Lantern Constructs, but as far as figures go... perhaps only a few central character remakes from my comic collecting era, that's it.
Although honestly, I am fine with the versions of Hal, John, Guy, Kyle, etc that I already own.
Having never read any of the 2000 to present Green Lantern comics or anything even remotely Rainbow Lanterned, this set wasn't for me. War of Light is only a storyline I've heard mention of, and my buying habits only include Heroclix characters from comics that I have read and own in my collection.
Sooooooo... I just spent the last hour cross-referencing all of the Green Lantern figures from the WOL set list with Wikipedia and dcuguide Chronologies to determine which characters (if any) may have appeared in comics that I read and own from the 1980's & 1990's, and here are the results:
Green Lantern Recruit (Medphyll 05)
Laira (20b)
Graf Toren (27)
Honno (43)
Krona (51)
Galius Zed (59b)
It's hard to remember every single alien Green Lantern name from story lines 20 to 30 years ago, but unbeknownst to me those above 6 characters all appear in comics from my 1980's-1990's Green Lantern collection. All the rest of the 96 figures have their roots from the year 2000 and on.
At a glance I would never had guessed that the 6 above characters were old school Green Lanterns, but as they are, then they will be added to my Heroclix collection. I just wanted to share my findings, and now I think that I'll go dig those issues up and re-familiarize myself with them.
Chases:
61. White Lantern Entity
62. Green Lantern Ion (225/25)
63. Orange Lantern Ophidian (185/25 points)
64. Indigo Tribe Prostelyte
65. Sinestro Corps Parallax
66. Red Lantern Butcher (185/25)
67. Blue Lantern Adara
68. Star Sapphire Predator (175/25 point values)
With these point costs, I wonder if they'll be like No Man's Land Penguin and you can play them as a Resource or a figure.

Pretty sure the yellowish orangish Hal is orange lantern, since the symbol on his chest is Orange lantern not Sinestro Corps. There is a Parallax Hal Jordan as a rare that will likely have the keyword, though.

Indigo Tribe Sinestro? Indigo Tribe John Stewart? Orange Lantern Hal Jordan? Violet Lantern Guy Gardner? Prime GL Galius? The cat? All the chases are the weird entity critters made of clear plastic coming out of lanterns with a suspicious dual point cost?
Damnit, now I am truly vexed by how Wizkids is handling this. There's way too much stuff that I want from this set.
The R stands for RAINBOW!

maybe, though Parallax Hal was NEVER part of the Sinestro Corps at any time. Even when Hal let Parallaz reposses himin Blackest Night to fight Spectre, he did it on his own, having nothing to do with Sinestro.
Now, the Kyle Parallax figure will /should have it

Could it be both? In the story where they had two rings on did he have yellow and orange rings on at the same time? I can't remember.
