I don't understand. Everyone keeps talking about Sif, but I don't see how she fits in to the conversation.

They are talking about the old Structural Integrity Field (SIF) special object and how the new #106 S.H.I.E.L.D. Agent is similar.

And even then, the errata to SIF helped things out big time, and even then today SIF would not be that much of a deal breaker anymore. What with improved movement and and targeting and phasing teleport being handed out like candy. Blocking terrain is not nearly the nuisance it used to be.

Not impressed at all by these dials.

If anything the mass market sets always tend to have a exclusive villain to them.(Duhg, General Zod Unarmored, & Savin all come to mind)

If I'm not mistaken, the only one that was marginal was the FIRST Nick Fury! Ever since, haven't they been pretty handy within their sphere?

Didn't she suddenly just become half as effective and she's 'technically' not even released yet? Her espionage power now only works when she's on an Avengers or S.H.I.E.L.D themed team (Not sure if Strike force is named or Generic) and only effects other teams that are now Named Themes (instead of the large influx of generic Theme teams courtesy of Mystical/Animal/Armor)

Predictions on target release?

I'm 99% sure strike force is named. So she can do her thing with every keyword but spy (soldier can be used with Duhg's army). I've never ran Spy but have run Avengers, SHIELD and Duhg's Army numerous times so I'm fine with 1 out of 5 KW not doing anything for her trait.

As to the second point, not being able to take my opponents 1-2 generic theme probs isn't a huge loss especially when they no longer have access to them either. Plus, there's no way to guarantee you'll sit across from any theme team at all so that risk is always there. If anything these changes may result in people playing MORE named themes which means more probs to steal.

That said... This is the definitive Widow whether you are up against a named theme or not. I'll play her all the time and never with a plan to screw opponents with her trait. That's just ridiculously annoying icing. Top dial you're looking at...

- 19 defense (Stealth Reflexes) AND shape change
- Two of the best team abilities for use and (wildcard) abuse (hello CW Hawkeye)
- Ability to use her own theme probs without taking tokens
- Ability to outwit characters in stealth (huge), while having some outwit protection herself
- Running shot , with improved movement: hindering and improved targeting: hindering
- Indom
- 3 damage that ignores super senses, can't be masterminded and has built in armor piercing.

All for a tad over 100 points? Are you not entertained?

I'm definitely finding some entertainment value in that dial! Absolutely!

I'm the opposite. Dials that show actual espionage work via hosing over opposing themed teams and swinging things in your favor? Yes please. There was some outside the box thinking done with this set. Bravo Wizkids

Anyone who can't find value in her, the duo, SHIELD Agent, or Winter Soldier (though he has some issues) isn't actually playing the game.

I don't know when excel loads up the target shelves. But I don't see any dials from it yet.
