Kara I is listed a villain, but she has the TMNT keyword. She's not available for the TMNTs?
Huh, I missed that when I was doing the list. I saw "Foot Clan" and tagged her as a villain, but I'm doing some character research (since I admittedly don't know anything about her).
I could see her either being reclassed as Neutral -or- being a villain that is specifically draftable by a TMNT hero squad. Anyone have more character knowledge that wants to weigh in?

Raised as Shredder's daughter, eventually finds the light. If this is Comic Karai, I'd say neutral.

I would like to make a new claim on something that I think I've requested once a year for the past several (Basically until we get a new enough group that thinks the idea is good )
I would like to get rid of random maps/BFCs.
My proposition would be this:
Everyone gets a map as their 'Home Field'. It's the map that they play on when they're at home. You may also burn upgrades to get alternate home maps (Max 3) to play on when you're at home.
Then my feeling for BFCs is that they may continue to be random, or something that the away team can bring to court (y'know, if you're attacking the X-Men at their mansion, it'd be the attacking party's option to attack during 'Bizarro World' or when there are 'Deep Shadows'). Same rule as maps, everyone gets a BFC and it's Max 3 for upgrades.
Here are my reasonings for this concept:
1. It makes the life of the commissioner easier
I've been a commissioner. I've sat there and rolled random dice using a chart and copy pasted the matching line into the formatted page and made a new thread, and repeated this process 15 odd times. It takes a couple hours out of your day, for sure. Now, the map BFC combo would be sent to you. No more figuring out who's played on what map or with what BFC, just boom, done.
2. Maps and BFCs are incredibly unbalancing
See: My game against the Legion. I had literally nowhere to go on the 24/24 map where Lightning Lad could not tag me in my starting area, because of some map roll. I was down a crucial 25pt figure from the start. It's one thing to 'Bring a team that's balanced and can play on any map', and there's some credence to that, but really, it's like crit missing on your alpha strike. It sets the tone of the entire game, and can make what would be an interesting match up into an uphill battle.
3. Creating a build against a map is more interesting than building a team that can play on any map
In this League I've always been an advocate for things that increase the strategic element. Strategy for me is choices. Choices based on variables. When you have huge variables (I think we're at just over 100 maps) it takes away from the strategy, because at a certain point, the map doesn't matter. If you -know- you're going to play on the X-Mansion, or if later in the season you're choiced with the X-mansion or Baby Krakoa, it gives you a hard choice. Building and counter building. Rather than sending in your best team and praying you don't get hosed.
4. it gives us more upgrade fodder.
Something we've been experiencing in the FLE, is stagnancy in the upgrade pool. We played around with the custom feats. I don't have any reports on if they're good or bad, but the fact remains is that MANY modern figures have no where to upgrade to. This is especially true for any Indy figures (The Turtles are all right, but where is Karai going to go?). They can spend upgrades on map choices.
5. The Story!
I know a lot of people like the idea of Team A and Team B brought together on Krakoa with a Inertial interference Field to fight because...the Beyonder? Sure. I think that the Marauders waiting until Deep Shadows to attack the X-Men in their school is vastly more compelling. The people of the Daily Planet -actually defending the Daily Planet- is amazing.
6. It makes wins mean something
At this point in the League, there is 0 difference between getting the 8 seed as there is the 1 seed, other than -maybe- Strength of Schedule. Being able to pick map is again, huge, and winning a bunch of games should have some incentive. It works just like sports. If you win a lot, you get to play at home. Simple as that.
7. Arcade
There are a handful of figures, Arcade being King among them, that are borderline unplayable on certain maps. Atlanteans without water terrain. Supermen without elevated. There are certain teams that are basically black listed due to random map choice. More figures are better, and Arcade is an amazingly fun figure. He should see light in this league.
So, it might be too late in the draft process, but this is something that I believe in and would like to see brought to a vote (again ). For Arcade.
Thank you.

I like that idea for the 8 game season. I think the playoffs and superbowl should still be random. It doesnt make sense to have teams get that big of an advantage in the playoffs.
I was hoping for a change like this. Too many times I or my opponent were completely usless due to the bcf and map combo. Honestly, I think bcf should just go away but i am all for every team getting a map of their choosing as their home map.
Bring it up at the end of the season. When we're taking rules changed.
Well, sure, but this isn't really a rule that would effect team choice. It opens up team choice, but I don't really see anyone going 'This is bull####, I would've drafted Arcade.".
Immediately after the draft would work just as well as before the draft. It's still the same clean slate.

Well to counter your argument about your 25 pt fig, that 25 pt figure is a colossal with a very powerful Trait for just 25 pts. He SHOULDN'T be able to hide anywhere due to him being a colossal. Hence all the rules changes on LoS for colossals. For a normal team, that Batman/Superman would've been hard to take out with his Imperv. I just built for him knowing you'd bring him. Hence adding to your point about building your team to go against what you know is coming.
