I'll be here untill I can play a Dr. Doom and Wolverine on every drop...Crisis on infinite Earths FTW
I'm a physician, primarily in the emergency room with a fair amount of time spent in other areas (primarily forensic and pediatrics - an odd mix, I know, but sometimes you have to "double-up" in small towns).
In other words, games help keep me sane after a bad day (not that every day is bad in my field - frankly, I love it - but some days...)
Vs. System saved my life again today, in a very similar way. Modern life sure can suck... without cardboard heroes. Turning Rogue sideways makes everything all right again.
Modern life does suck! Its a good thing we have Rainbows and Lesbien Unicorns to dream of!:) Though the uncorn of my dreams doesn't need to be a lesbian, but its okay if she is. Do male unicorns exist? Hope your day gets better!
OK you think you have it bad I work 72-80 hours a week leaveing 88 hours I sleep about 50 of those leaveing 38 hours of free time 10 hours playing VS 28 hours during the week for family and friends. O ya on top of that My fience and I are getting married next year so ya Good times .
Lure her in with the prospect of kicking a bunch of boys butts that think she can't play just cuz she's a girl.
The estrogen positive persuasion tends to love nearly every chance to make a testosterone positive eat crow by proving that not only are they sexier and smarter than us but they can even beat us at our own games.
Sure, you'll have to let her build up her own deck and help her with rules and such, at least at first, but be prepared to step out of her way and let her play her games, too.
She'll respect you for not acting like she can't do it, and she'll secretly love that you keep an eye out for her at the same time.
lol No she doesn't play can't stand it the only thing she likes doing is opening and sorting them .So that leaves 28 hours of free time and at least 7 of those hours are spent with her alone .

Thanks UDE.
Its funny that you think modern life sucks, considering how much better we have it than any past time period.
On a technological basis, we are obviously so far the most advanced. The things we can do were beyond imagination back in the day.
We ourselves don't have to do nearly as much to survive as others have before us. If we decide to not do anything at all, we will still be provided for. There is no necessity to "pull your own weight" merely to survive. People don't work their asses off to stay alive; they work their asses off to get something fancy and shiny and new.
And yet, I constantly find myself thinking of the Kingdom Come scene, where Norman (the semi-narrator) is thinking about Wesley Dodds (The Sandman, as well as one cool 2-drop).
"Sometimes, he'd ambush complete strangers and ask them how much they missed the concept of human achievement.
I don't know what surprised me more. The oddity of the question, or the growing number of people who seemed to know what he was talking about."
When we witness the power creep in this card game of life as more comes out, the cost is that we actually have the time and ability to look around and realize how much it all sucks.
speaking of which.... did "Mr. Maid" get you into VS or was it the other way around? or maybe you both were into it when you met?
the reason why i ask is.... i have to figure out how to get Mrs. Puritan to stop looking at VS as a no-girls-allowed game.
"Mr. Maid" brought home the X-men/Brotherhood Starters way back when it started, he phrased it as a fun little game we could just play together for fun:laugh: . Which of course it is and most of our friends ended up getting into it, led to the buying of many cards and the building of many fun decks. This is the first game I've ever played in competitely and tchalla is right it is fun to kick mens asses at their own game!;) The worst part is trying to get baby sitters because we both want to play!
