Oh, and this is cool, a 2-2 final Day isn’t the end-all-be-all for Town in regards for Plurality
Quote
Plurality - If plurality is being used, whoever has the most votes at the end of a day phase will be eliminated. Ties will be determined by use of random.org.
In theory, it’s a roll of the dice at the end of the day if it’s obvious who is Mafia and who is Town. I may not agree with it (I personally think tied endgame goes to Scum), but that’s something for tomorrow maybe.
"Why would the possibility of me being wrong ever stop me from doing something?"
The thing about the JK claim is that it removes our one shot “home free” card — we chop, miss, and then wolves miss too. But while that’s a decent probability, it’s not super great in any case.
The correct choice of action is to sleep today and then see where we’re at tomorrow. Only bad shot is if the JK dies over night, which would deprive us of some info. We can all post JK actions though and then if they flip we know
MOD NOTE: If the endgame results in equal town and mafia going into a day phase, mafia wins. I will have to look into a better wording to make this clear this in my next rules revision.

That makes sense.

I see no benefit in going No Elimination. The Jailkeep succeeded in stopping a Kill. They will LIKELY target the same target. Mafia can just switch Killer/Target.
I would rather chance a Mafia Yeet today than gamble on a successful stop AGAIN tonight.
Jailkeep outs their target. We Yeet them. That’s it.
"Why would the possibility of me being wrong ever stop me from doing something?"
Now, if the Mafia chose to Kill me expecting a Jailkeep to target me, for the sole purpose of leading to this line of thinking on my behalf? Kudos, well played. But again, the Math is stronger that Jailkeep hit the Killer.
"Why would the possibility of me being wrong ever stop me from doing something?"
So looking back at yesterday’s vote, my gut reaction is this post led the JK to target K-Ness. Morph or CV. Guessing CV, since Morph is voting for me *shrugs*

If the JK targeted me, then it means I was the kill target. I'm very much Town.
You are playing very strangely compared to your usual plays.
You've been wanting us to out the jailkeep even though it makes literally no sense, and now you've laid the perfect groundwork for the mafia to lock the game up today.
I'm ready to vote for you.

All evidence to the contrary.
It makes sense to out the Jailkeep after a Kill is stopped. Saying it “makes literally no sense” simply isn’t true. Like, there’s an argument against it, but I personally think the argument For it is stronger.
And “ready to vote for you” isn’t really the threat a Town member would make. Drop the vote, I don’t care, Plurality means a dropped vote means nothing until day ends. For instance
Vote: K-Ness

Am I mistaken that you're a skilled mafia player? Really, your statements contradict what I've come to know of you. They don't make sense, and they are hedging on significant gambles.
Honestly, I am the mafia's best friend this game (similar to the most recent Smash Bros. game). My reads have all been off, so it's likely you're actually town just because everyone who I've pegged has been the opposite at this point.
I commented to my husband earlier that I wouldn't be surprised if the mafia is Adam and Tony. That would at least explain why the two of them are both still alive.

Au contraire, I am the Mafia’s Best Friend this game! Led the lynch on two Townies. I officially suck in that department.
And for what it’s worth, I am not a skilled vanilla Mafia player. Im much better when it comes to themes and powers. Hence likely why I’m focusing on the power in the game and how I think it should be utilized

Well that’s depressing.
Again, I see NO reason for the Jailkeep. It to put their target. You have a Guaranteed 50/50 shot at Mafia. A shot in the dark is less than 1/3 since Mafia will influence a “random” vote.

My initial thought on the power when the game started was that it was much better than a cop, as it acted as both a block and doctoring. Then I realized that we don't need a saving power; we need an info-gathering power. While the jailkeep can give some information to the players, the information can be misleading.
HCRealms Mafia players are NOT used to this format of game. We have to use social deduction to determine who is who, and one of the downsides to a game like this here is that most players are quiet unless they have something to go off of. We need discussion throughout the day from players, but we have no driving force for discussion. This means players come and go at their leisure, and no one is putting up a real defense when they get a vote on them.
