I want to remind everyone here to send me a PM if you are needing any CUR's from Captain America. I figure I'll give it until the end of the week then I'll send out boxes full of plastic goodness. All you need to do is pay me for the shipping. If you have any extra HYDRA or SHIELD minions, I'd take those, but otherwise I need nothing in return (maybe a slap or ten).
The only reason people think Temple is any good is nostalgia. I missed it until the DVD set came out and without that benefit, it's justva steaming pile.

Now, mind you...I didn't actually say it was good...just not as bad as KotCS.
But, I'm surprised you're so willing to dismiss somebody's (not mine) opinion of liking something out of sheer nostalgia.
Temple was a whole new world, and so retains a lot of wow factor, sequels build on that world but have to jump higher and further to retain the wow factor.
I will admit that this scenario falls down slightly with Phantasm.

Oh, and KotCS was waaaaay worse than Temple imo. Temple was bad, but I count KotCS to be the biggest letdown of any movie I have ever seen (and this list includes Happening). I did feel that Happening was worse than KotCS, but the latter was the bigger letdown.
I've never actually seen all of Temple of Doom, but as far as Kingdom of the Crystal Skull goes, I think South Park got it right. I'll leave it at that.
Who in their right mind would believe that getting into a fridge would save you from an A Bomb?
The vine swinging with the monkeys scene was sooo cheesy I couldn't even laugh at it.
The skull at the end actually turned out to be a generic alien!?!?!?! Seriously??!!!???!!!11???/!??!?/??
And worst of all, if you are going to use an alien, and you own the rights to hundreds of different kinds, why go for the most generic alien ever? Should have totally been a Wookie or something...

Batman.

Batman does something similar.

Batman deals with generic aliens.

Batman has never fought a Wookie, but he does carry Wookie-Repellant Spray on his belt...just to be prepared.

I'm mostly just stirring the pot. But mine cart sequence aside, I didn't care for it one bit. Skull had (very few) more redeeming moments. What both really lack that the others had- chemistry between characters.
Kind of a strange request, but does anyone here have an Ice Cap they'd trade for my Ice Cap? There's nothing wrong with my Ice Cap, it's just that on his shield, the little white circle isn't exactly centered and it drives me nuts. So if someone has an Ice Cap who's shield is fine and they wouldn't mind the little white circle being a little bit off centered, let me know.
