LOL....you're crazy,man. CRAZY!

Coming in late and light on this (not much discretionary time this morning) but it wasn't until I sat through Indiana Jones and the Crystal Skull that I realized that Temple of Doom was at least better than that. I'm not rushing to watch Temple again, mind you, but I'd probably do that before subjecting myself to the Crystal Skull again.

CS went out of its way to try to recapture Raiders by using Soviets as period-specific replacements for the Nazis, which was a good idea, but it stank of formula and just became sillier and sillier after a while. One major plot similarity I did note between Raiders and Skull was that as best I can tell, Indy's involvement was unnecessary. In both cases the bad guys got to use the item they were after, and in both cases they died because of it. In that respect, at least, he could have stayed back at his teaching post and the situation concerning artifact-as-weapon would have resolved itself.

I'd take Short Round as a sidekick over Shia's Indy Junior any time. There's no resentment from me for a little Asian kid who's trying to make the best of it, but even if I liked a guy there will be points against him for being set up to be Indiana Jones: The Next Generation.

By the time we had him as king of the monkeys I felt as if they just should have had him and the monkeys throwing feces at the audience.

I will never get to name a thread. I am too sparse.

I do have to go, though. There's a huge amount I have to accomplish before 1 pm -- and another couple masses of work to deal with after that.
