A few thoughts:

* John Stewart: I am loving that Military Training SP of his. If anyone should have the ability to RCE while using RS, it's him. Also liking Indom. Still not pleased that he lacks the JL keyword, but I'll acknowledge that the Lantern Corps' JL ties haven't been terribly played up in recent years.

(That said, can we at least hope that Simon Baz has the keyword? Granted, he's on JLU in the Nu52, but it would be regrettable if the only GLs with the keyword are Jade and Green Kyle. I want Jenny for my Outsiders figures, and I don't even really want Green Kyle, since I got White Kyle.)

* Glad to see the non-Green Corps getting Constructs. I'm still not going to lose sleep if I don't hunt down the other Batteries and Constructs. But it'd be unfair if players who want to field a Sinestro Corps team couldn't use yellow constructs, and so on.

* Not terribly pleased, but accepting, of Black Hand being the Black Lantern Entity. I'd hoped he'd be easier to get, but c'est la vie, I suppose.

* The character dials feel about right for the other GLs. Morro's is especially interesting - I can see why he's an SR. Soranik's a long-overdue addition, and I fully expect to read stories of how Sodam and Kilowog wreck houses.

It really never goes away, does it. I'm going to keep this simple:
1) Yes, it was terrible character assassination. That's why they retconned and made something awesome out of it.

2) No one cares, get a blog.

3) Pick a criteria, you're still wrong.

(Hint: #2 and #3 goes for any of them, even Alan Scott, only #1 was specific to Twilight. And no, I don't care that you're Armed with Canon, I'm still holding the trump)

Funny how you never hear Alan Scott fans #####ing about Hal taking over the title.

Guy Gardner is the most entertaining Green Lantern, which is all that matters to me.

Alan Scott's GL was cancelled ten years before Hal ever slipped on a ring.

Alan wasn't turned into a psychopath who murdered the entire JSA just to introduce Hal as the new GL, all in the name of sales.

Alan's GL was brought back for guest appearances in the JLA book because of the popularity of Hal as GL (and other Silver Age heroes) basically saving the Superhero comic line from extinction, thus allowing Alan to be reintroduced and revitalized as a hero to several more generations.

In other words, Alan fans owe Hal and other Silver Age heroes a vote of thanks for saving their heroes, so what do they need to ##### about?

As to the Kyle fan #####ing about a Hal fan saying he doesn't really care about getting Jade or Kyle or Simon LEs, I wasn't talking bad about your hero, only stating I don't personally want him, so go unbunch your panties, and be happy there will be more Kyle's for you.

Some of the asking prices I am seeing on wave 2 stuff is absurd. Especially when we can see how low the drops will be based on wave 1 stuff.

I am happy about all the new versions of all the different lanterns actually.

But it's approaching 20 years since Emerald Twilight, 10 years since rebirth, through 2 soft reboots (Zero Hour and Infinite Crisis) and one direct Reboot (nu52).

It's time to let the healing begin. Oa help you all if that dead horse gets a Black Lantern ring, there will come a reckoning.

Seriously, there is no "Greatest Green Lantern Ever". It's comics, just enjoy yourself.

Once again, not proclaiming the winner of the Greatest GL ever, just proclaiming I don't really need Jade or Kyle or Simon. But, if someone else does, more power to them. Just don't expect me to start loving Kyle just because it has been soooooooo many years. Everyone is free to love whichever GL (or non-Green Lantern) as "The Bestest ever!", but don't tell me to get over it just because I don't like Kyle.

I'm not asking you to like what I like. You don't like them, and that's fine.

Honestly my comments are more directed at general crowd that is still vocally bitter.

All I'm saying is 20 years is a long time to stay bitter. Especially over something as immaterial as comic canon.

It's not like I don't get it either, several of my favorites have been through extreme alterations. Superboy, Impulse, the X-men and the cast of Young Justice (Peter David run, not TV show) to name a few. I just don't feel the need to post about the subject because truth be told, I don't think anyone really cares.

The Hal Jordan fans are lucky. They got their version of their character back and in the spotlight for a universe building massive 10+ year story. There are staggeringly few fanboys who can even approach that claim, regardless of the form of media. But rather than celebrate, some choose to stay bitter (again not directed at you) and for the life of me I can't understand why.

If you dont like Kyle Rayner, why dont you play umm.... Rankorr or something who you like instead Green Lantern Corps.
