So I was thinking about his trait.
The way I read it. If I try to outwit Osborn he is taking a click of damage reguardless of if it's successful or not.
Add to that the 'traits are not optional' that mean this 150 pt figure, who is awesome otherwise, is 8 outwit attempts from death the moment you put him on the map!
This is less important but a little funny actually, there are only 8 powers on his dial that you could even outwit.
RS on click 1, EE on click 1 or 2, both SP on click 4, Toughness on click 5 and 6, and RCE on click 6. Every other attempt to outwit him will cause him to lose his showing power when he takes his 1 damage from his trait.
That doesn't sound like something you would have intended....right?
Maybe this would be a good choice to make the first optional trait? (with a little re-write tossed in)
Those thoughts didn't come up when you first showed him and I only thought of it later.
It is almost upon us! Are you prepared for the Quarmageddon?
I believe the roll for +4 is when he is BEING Outwitted.
The unavoidable click he takes is when he is DOING the Outwitting on another Outwit.
So you see this trait as two seperate parts.
1) He rolls d6 when the target of outwit and 50% of the time he ignores it.
and seperatly
2) When he attempts to outwit another characters outwit he take 1 unavoidable click.
Is that right?
Interesting......I didn't even consider that. Interested to see Algim clarify this (if needed).
==========================================
Edit: Oh! If your #2 is right, he can only outwit another outwit on click 4 otherwise he would lose the power himself and return the outwit he was targeting.

Precisely.
I believe it's well representative of Norman...he's powerful enough to be a major player behind the scenes but to be able to Outwit, say Reed or Tony Stark...they're beyond Norman's league and his Outwit would essentially be wasted, as you pointed out, when he takes Damage and reverts to "normal" Outwit...do you want to REALLY, REALLY Outwit Outwit? Then do that
Well designed, IMHO!

Yep, quite a high cost of doing so. He's smart, all right, but not Outwit Outwit smart

Okay, a few wording changes as brought forward by traitorarmor;

Speed - Unleashed: Sabretooth and Wildchild can use Leap/Climb. When Sabretooth and Wildchild are not adjacent to an opposing character, they may treat opposing characters within 3 squares as if they were adjacent for attack purposes. Attacks made in this manner can't be made if blocking terrain, elevated terrain, or a wall would block an otherwise clear line of fire between this character and the target. Attack - Fury of Claws: Sabretooth and Wildchild can use Blades/Claws/Fangs. If a 1-3 is rolled for the damage, Sabretooth and Wildchild may make another Blades/Claws/Fangs attack as a free action. Defense - Animal Instincts: Sabretooth and Wildchild can use Super Senses and Toughness.
As for Iron patriot, I guess the "may" wording still does not drive home it being truly optional. Perhaps I'll simply put an "(optional)" tage behind the name of the power.
It also seems I need to use consistent wording - how about... "When Iron Patriot attempts to ignore Outwit..."
Can't wait to start running those 'S' theme teams!!
(waits for card anxiously)

Hopefully that answers all outstanding issues...
That clears up my issues.

How about something like this:
When Iron Patriot is the target of Outwit, you may roll a d6. If you do, deal Iron Man 1 unavoidable damage, and on a roll of 4 or higher Iron Patriot ignores that use of Outwit.
I do have to ask though, what happens if someone tries to outwit, for example, invulnerability, then Iron Patriot is moved onto toughness due to the damage from his own trait? It sort of makes the die roll irrelevant, especially the way his dial is set up. I might consider making the damage happen at the end of the turn he uses the trait.

That part was actually by design - his dial being setup like that along with the trait. My special power wording may not always be as spot on as I'd like, but the feel of Osborn harming himself and somehow still coming a little (unintentionally) out on top... if only for a turn or so... yeah, that is something I'm rather proud of.
The situation you brought up in the above example is kind of his innate outwit deterrent. If you wanna outwit Osborne, you had better be sure it doesn't end up biting you in the butt!
Love Sabertooth and Wild Child! That's a duo I'd be likely to play. The Fury of Blades power is pretty slick, although I could see some people complaining about it being overpowered. Unleashed is an awesome interpretation of their dynamic! Too bad, the wording that prevents WC from attacking around corners. But you've got to draw the line somewhere, I suppose.

I am definitely glad you like him! I kinda know what you mean about the Fury of Blades, but it really isn't any more powerful than having Flurry and BCF on the same click... which we see a bit of anyhow. In fact, The Fury of Blades was my way of representing both of them without having to do yet another Flurry + BCF.
And yeah... around corners would be cool - but consider the line drawn.
