Hey Karl, when you're done with the orders you think you can make some ultra heavy objects? I think a tank turret in your objects would be better than that 3D one.

I wanted to ask: How did you prototype it in order to create the kickstarter BEFORE you had the funds & the 3D printer?

It involved eating plastic and laxatives. Best not ask for details.

As opposed to plastic and laxatives, I believe the initial prototypes were made by Shapeways, but came in rather expensive at around $8 each.

Yep, this. ^ I used Shapeways pretty extensively. I've been kicking this idea around and toying with it since November so for all my prototypes, Shapeways was my "go to" place... but they are rather expensive for what you get.
