I've gotten my hands on 5 Tholian ships and my expense was under $15 to ship my end of trades. It can be done for a fraction of what you think.

I will gladly buy two off you at $20 a piece plus shipping.

I do get your point though, they can be found, but it is rare. The cheapest I saw on eBay was $30 a piece. I think it would be a blast to run a 100 point fleet of these, but that fun isn't worth what it will realistically cost to get the ships. Which goes to Hairs original post about being able to walk into a store and buy/play anything you want, but for Attack Wing you cannot.

I do expect that at some point that some of the LE ships will show up at retail or at least the ones that sculpts not yet seen in the main line. And as sure as Wizkids loves cash those cards that make certain ships more desired than others will show up in some variant way in a future ship. Some junk Klingon reuse down the road will have a BoF just to sell it. And I have no doubt that because the Ferengi have their own faction that just having a LE is not the end of that run.

Did this happen by they way?

I haven't seen them and my LCS and LGS haven't received them yet. =( was hoping to get them before they disappeared and I'd have to find them online.

FFG finally updated their site.

Wave 4 is now shipping, with a release date of June 26th. A good amount of time to get and practice with Wave 4 before the Chicago Regional.

Do you know for sure if Wave 4 will be playable at that point?

I've heard people say that products released during the event season are not legal for event season................I've also heard 1 month from release date (which would would for Chicago)........I've also heard that some events will be saying yes, and others will be saying no.


Is there one place to find that info that I'm just not seeing?

They recently updated the tournament rules.

Previously, they only allowed the listed models, which caused hiccups as we waited for them to update the list. Now, they have the same wording as they do as the LCG, where a product is legal when released (IE mentioned on their website). We just have to keep watching to see if they update the tournament rules sometime between now and release.

Considering how rarely the ban LCG stuff from tournaments, I don't see Wave 4 stuff not being legal upon release. I don't think there is a Regional that weekend either.

Yeah, I think it is drawing some complaints from people unused to the policy. I play two LCGs, so I'm used to a monthly meta change.
