I was in the nearest Asian grocery store, Lotte. I was in search for dinner and I know they have fresh sushi/rolls there. Their sushi is really good considering it is not a restaurant, but their salmon is always so much better than anything else. I get there around 6:30 and the sushi is 30% off, which is awesome because it is reasonably priced in the first place. Needless to say the wife an I had a feast of sushi.
When I was going to the checkout line there was an impulse buy item of a chip that was supposed to be flavored like tteokbokki , which is a Korean spicy rice cake dish. I open the package and tried one. These chips are very addictive, but unfortunately they were not spicy. I wish I could read Korean because maybe I could have figured out that they were sweeter than I was thinking.
Hey- I've had those, or at least something that looked just like them but may have been a different flavor!
I don't recall too much spice from the ones I had, and it's been a good 4 years since I was in Korea so I am not sure of the packaging colors, etc. There are so many busy, goofy labels over there that this would be pretty normal.
The only things I really did not like in Korea was this pre-packaged "Fish Soup" that was at like every museum or tourist attraction in the big cities. Tried it twice and disliked it immensely both times. Kim-Chi is an acquired taste that I doubt I will ever eat again, unless it is the cucumber variety, which was fine.
I don't remember any written Hangul and very little of it spoken, but seeing a dog (as livestock) farm and accidentally ending up at a dog market stick in my brain.
My "rick-roll" sense was tingling, so I almost didn't click on that. But those do look tasty.
They are real good. After a few more tries the cracker portion tastes more like those crunchy noodles you get when you order chicken chow mein or egg drop soup.

Make sure that the market you go to has a Korean focus. The Chinese or south east Asian places probably will not have it.

I saw Justice League twice this weekend (once friday, once saturday). and it was great both times. it's not without some issues, and i feel like the added on Joss Whedon's reshoot scenes made it drag a bit, but over all great. It does not deserve the hate it is getting.
I also watched Atomic Blonde, also a good movie. 80's cold war spy shenanigans and john wick level action.
Made a test-batch of Turkey wontons last night for this annual post thanksgiving pot lock some friends host. they were deemed pretty good. need to work on the sauce and maybe add some extra filling but good.
watched, I think 4, episodes of the punisher. liking that as well.
bought some toys, played some clix, drank a bunch. a good 3 day weekend.
Well the bank won't give me credit because i'm a bad risk and I don't pay my bills on time. So I have to work for what I have!
I am now on the 5th episode of Defenders, after completing both seasons of Daredevil and the only season of Luke Cage. I like it, and even though the suspense level is significantly less than the solo shows, I like the more comic book feel to it.
Haven't seen any of the Punisher yet, figure that'll be a Christmas-New Year vacation binge.
BTW- I opened my first 2 boosters of Harley Quinn on Saturday and in those 2 were Chase Green Lantern and SR Prime Harley Quinn, which I have since traded for a Jakeem Thunder. Been downhill ever since, but still, those first 2 were awesome.
Finally saw The Hateful 8 on Nexflix over the weekend. Not bad. Had wanted to see it on a big screen when it was originally released but the nearest place that was screening it in 70 mm was in Santa Monica or some such.

I enjoyed it but it could have been better. Taratino needing to stop the movie dead to explain to the audience what is going on in the one scene really takes me out of the movie. I think it would actually work better as a stage play.

I can see that. I dislike Tarantino's tendency to back up on a story and fill in the viewer with "missing details." It works once in a while but I think it's become a storytelling crutch for him.
It does sound like you had a nice three day weekend, bob. If everything goes according to plan, I'm seeing Justice League tomorrow. I'm fully expecting to at least like it.

That's a good weekend!
I saw Justice League this weekend, and I enjoyed it. I thought it was better than Batman vs Superman. One of the things I liked about it was that it didn't seem to drag at any point. How do you know which scenes were Whedon scenes? One of the things that I didn't really like about it was the Flash's backstory and personality.
I saw Atomic Blond twice in the theaters. I think it's a great spy action movie.

All the outdoor shots were beautiful on the big screen.
I couldn't exactly say which were and weren't but i gambled that certain scenes which had extra long conversations/"witty" back and forth dialogue were whedon scenes.
