Chyna will not be made, she was on the outs with the E before her death.
Calling it now, Con Exclusive Wrestling Ring that comes with Hogan and Andre in a face off from 'Mania.
And yet she's going into their HoF this year, albeit as part of a stable.
I am not saying that she's a sure thing, certainly not saying that she is going to be in the first wave, but as 1 of 50?
Chyna is one of the most well-known women wrestlers of the past and her being included in their HoF this year makes me think that those old wounds are healing.
The first wave is the first wave, and if it fails then we may never know, but to me she is solidly on the bubble.
A lot depends upon how many women they include in the set and how heavily they lean towards the current stars, and for the women I think that they will lean very heavily in that direction, but there will still be room for a few stars of the past from the women's side.
FROM SHOTS FIRED PODCAST Update on WWE clix from my local store manager attending GAMA. Figs will be sold individually in non-blind boosters with a 7.99 price tag. 18 figs in the first wave. They plan on doing a total of 50. If it does well, then they will release future waves of 10-12 figures.
Also confirmed that GI Joe, Transformers, and Pony will NOT be clix. Only unpainted minis.
Tough coconuts on the WWE clix.
As for Transformers and G.I. Joe, will still buy as long as reasonably priced. Been wanting a Sigma Six team for the longest time and customs are do-able (imagine all your bystanders sporting these IPs.)
Have you ever been at the shop when a brick is opened, and everyone stops buying soon as someone pulls the chase?
Now imagine it's even more obvious that all that's left is the chaff. There's no Triple H, only X-Pac and Virgil. Obviously, you're not going to buy any.
That's one.
Two is related... if you do want a shot at John Cena, you better be there when they open the case, find a hookup, or get ready to pay secondary market prices. There's zero chance you can show up later and randomly pull one.
Well, I'm now no longer interested in Wizkids having those licenses. That news removed my interest. I now have the opposite of interest. I have negative interest. There is a sucking void where my interest previously was.
And $7.99 non-blind packs for the WWE-Clix? Who the hell thought that was good idea
you have debt

no one's going to be able to find cena anyway stealth pun
The average super rare goes for about 8 bucks so IF and only IF the pieces are that good, yeah they will sell. However i'd be shocked if that was the ONLY way in which the pieces are available. This info could be in conjunction with just normal boosters and this was that only info at the time.
My thought when it comes to the WWE Clix: Seems that most matches are 1 vs 1, so it would make sense to sell them in 2 packs, based on rivalry or historic matches. Then the $8 price makes more sense for 2 figures since the blind 1 figure packs run around $4.

Hogan vs Andre, Roman vs Lesnar, Cena vs Orton... Easily sold. Hell, give me Titus O’Neil vs Curt Hawkins at that point.
Plus it would make it easier to pack tag teams together like the Hart Foundation, The Bar, The Hardy Boyz, etc. Then add a special object for each like a folding chair or Jimmy Hart’s Mega Phone or even part of the ring map, so you can put four together to make full map ring.
I’d gladly pick up every set. So many more opportunities this way.
by releasing 18 figures and then smaller sets of twelve it will be a very different model of collecting. Non blind may mean the figures have a longer evergreen shelf life.
If you try to collect a full set of any wizkids product you will probably find you pay that price for the figures you want and are then left with dozens you don't.
I doubt there will be many figures that collectors won't want.
Making a list of 18 super popular wrestlers with a few appearing more than once is easy.
If you get a set with characters like
Hulk Hogan
Macho Man
Undertaker
John Cena
Andre the Giant
King Kong Bundy
Million Dollar man
Bret the Hitman Hart
British Bulldog
Road Warrior
Now throw a 2nd version of a few
I doubt there will be any left on the shelf
Plus it will fit in great in stores like target and Walmart
Do I think its expensive yes, but so are all the figures.
Do I think it will sell, yes and once you get one or two in your hands you will want more.
I also think Wizkids knows there will be cherry picking and will try to compensate for it, especially if they don't on the first release and players show a lot of outrage.
I don't believe they have a relationship with Excel anymore (the distributors for Wal-Mart & Targets).
NECA does have their own section at Target, though. Maybe that's why they're going with non-blind figure packs. So they can put them in the toy section, with the rest of NECA's stuff, instead of with the collectibles.
