Yup, thats right Ag, every time i battle with my Orcs i dont think about objective tokens, it's either i wipe my opponents out or die trying. Attack! Attack! Attack!
What I figured would be good to do is getting a bunch of relatively cheap orcs, moving them in formations, getting a hit in with a Broken Tusk orc with Gang Up, and using the subfaction ability to bring the figure down. My only orc right now is an Orc Marauder **, so I don't have much rampaging to do yet... It's still one of my favorite figures (from the 21 or so I have)
I want enough orcs for a small warband at least. I like small point armies the most, and I loved the example pictures in Complete Rules of Play with the orc figures.
I hope orcs will be well represented in Resurrection, I want to collect them all.
The fun thing about orcs, IMO, is that even the cheapest orcs are capable of being heavy hitters. The ***Orc marauder is only 20pts but is capable of dealing 5 damage. Other fun ones are Harka orcs, who can deal 5 damage with Crushing Blow, and *Orc Violators, who are 31 pts, but also have Crushing Blow but have a slightly higher attack of 9. Believe it or not, orcs also have some very versatile healers in the form of Blood Shamans (soaring with Hex and Magic Healing) and Masked Shamans (decent spell casters with Magic Healing). If utilizing Orcs as a primary faction, I recommend acquiring Khan Rava. The guy is one of the best figures in the game. He has a modest point cost for what he is capable and can be a real terror on the battlefield. Orcs are, unfortunately, weak against soaring ranged armies because they have little or no soaring figures and few ranged figures to rely upon. Relics like Silvercloud (easily attainable), Wind Weaver, and (if you don't mind a little mixed faction action) Disruptor will all come in very handy.
My go to orc in 1.0 was the Clurch Piper. Get a couple and almost any orc army became a powerhouse. Just for flavor, I loved the Berserkers from Whirlwind. They looked damn cool in a formation with a Clurch Piper and 2 Launchers. Run em beside the Orc Captain, and you had a very cool looking army. A few Goblin Runners filled the holes.
^ I can see that. Never had any of those figs though.
The reason why I used the Gorgers was for the Toughness. During the era of everybody ramming the bejesus out of everyone's units, that orange box felt like an MVP ability.
That and I loved using Half Troll Hackers. My partiality to Half-Troll's prolly made me actively want to use them in fun army builds as those two units, correct me if I'm wrong, are the only non unique warriors in that race.
since I'm a big Chaos Mage fan back in 1.0, the nons I usually have with him is Shamans *. I like the Cave Runner Orcs to tie up & make cover for the Chaos Mage formations also...
And like War Wolf, I also luv the Berserkers... I have an army of those too. :D

You have any extras? An unknown nefarious villain absconded with mine...
So, no new further news about the Bonebreaker Shaman right? It does have the sword attack type & the blue circle sneak attack ability...
Make sense since he breaks bones, & the magic healing/life drain part will stand for the shaman part... :D
That's also the reason I have 2 of those in my armies I posted above. Doubletime/surge sneak attack with magestone trance is wicked sick!
It is sad to say... but in behalf of all Orc warlords, chieftains, warriors, Khans & raiders, we're now going to call them Boneblaster Shaman...
