In the preview he said that if you KO Look-alike Squad in response to the recruitment then the rest of the Supermans go but I don't think that is true. I think that the game checks for uniqueness before anyone has priority. Can someone check that for me?!
The rules situation was already explained pretty well in the preview article---uniqueness is checked as part of resolving a recruit effect. This means that while one of your Superman's recruit effects is on the chain, your opponent can KO your Look-Alike Squad, and you'll need some other way to make Superman non-unique before the recruit effect resolves.
I thought the character is recruited before the recruitment effect goes on the chain. I thought it is recruited as soon as you pay the cost and that uniqueness is check before paying the cost.
Originally posted by JusticeLeague it looks like new gods will get 1 card, i hope it has something to do with the forever people combo
That would make sense since their other legacy content would be on the JLA/JLI teams and would be focussing on the non-FP New God characters. On the other hand, what else can they add to the Forever People combo? Was there a special place the Forever People are associated with?
Martian Manhunter: J'onn J'onzz (054) is up at Metagame. He's for both JLI and JLA.. He seems like usable card, but nothing we haven't really seen before.
EDIT: Ok, Captain Marvel: Billy Batson is up now too, at 043 (see Star City VS.). Thanks for the tip off, davhey!
At start of recovery phase, if you control four or less resources, you may discard a card. If you do, recover target stunned JLI character you control.
