Squid what sort of card would you possibly swap out dark ruler with? I occasionally have swapped him out with the following cards:
Mefist the Infernal General
Helpoemer
Archfiend Gilfer
Other cards I have used to great success include
Newdoria
Wall of Illusion
Gren Maju (really do like this guy alot with 3 ladies in my deck. especially coupled with monster reincarnation to pull a dead lady back to my hand and resummon her for more power up goodness :D )
As for s/t support what sort of cards did you have in mind you've piqued my curiousity.
Sorry, you guys can keep talking about the deck as much as you want.
I just wanna say TWO things:
1) If Deadroot reduces the ATK of ALL monsters in half, he's B-R-O-K-E-N and a half! I'd definitely deck one. My deck has enough recursion, Falling Down and swarming to give me three monsters. And besides, you HAVE to respect a monster can can NEVER be beaten in battle! EVER!!!!! Limiter Doubles the ATK of Machines, but he cuts it in half first. You'd have to use Limiter Removal once just to get a Machine monster to it's original ATK power!
2) G Kozaky SCREAMS for some tactics and I'd like to hear what you guys have thought of. Skill Drain is a dead giveaway. However, Kozaky is 400ATK/400DEF and if he dies, G Kozaky dies and inflicts 2500damage so Kozaky yells out to your opponent "come and get me!". And what card can we use when an opponent declares an attack on your weaker monsters? That's right Staunch Defender!!! Or just as good is "Shift" which will let Kozaky switch places with G Kozaky and they'll smash into a 2500ATK beast, instead of the Professor Frink of the Fiends. "Kozaky's Self Exploding Device" and "Fruits of Kozaky's Labors", "G Kozaky" and "Kozaky" are just too fun to pass up. You can even use Barrel Behind The Door on his effect. You can protect yourself with Pikeru's Circle of Enchantment, or Hallowed Life Barrier. Or just Mystik Wok him when he's about to be killed.
Gangsta Kozaky!

G Kozaki
Dark/Fiend/4/2500/2400
This card is destroy if "Kozaki" is not face-up on the field. When this card is destroyed while face-up, the controller of this card would receive damage equal to original attack of this card.
Well this card could be a pain to keep out. Not only do you have to protect G Kozaki, you have to protect little Kozaky too.
Now, I have kinda been away from Yugioh a bit, so right now I have all these ideas, most might not be too great, but meh, oh well.
What about a deck that used d.d. trainer and kozaky. Both can be searched by sangan, mystic tomato, emissary of the afterlife (might not need it.). And since both are lvl2 or lower normal monsters use human wave tactics for kozaky and interdimensional matter transporter for g kozaky.....well that just solves the battle problem and waboku, staunch defender, shift all are 1 card combos that are simpler and might do more damage to your opponent.....
Well at least trainer and kozaky can use order to smash to stop potential G kozaky killers.
Ok...what about using Great Maju Garzett...ewwww thats disgustingly strong. I mean....who the heck would want to use that much raw ATK power? :devious:
Giving control to your opponent is cool and all, but I so want to use him for myself only....or at least be able to choose when he dies muahaha(ring+barrel). It seems like it'd be best to use him for some nice 1 turn hits then use him for massive damage (again ring) or for further gain(great maju/mystic wok)
Edit: Just thought about a suicide fiend deck with shadowknight, G kozaky...and megamorph

Well now, that's the trick isnt it? ;) honestly, I dont know. I probably wouldnt bother replacing his majesty with another Tribute monster, becuase he simply does the job better. However, if you have Slates, Orcs, and necrofears, along with Germs, Noblemen, etc. Then maybe something like Return from the Different Dimension or Dimension Fusion.
I used to base a combo, when I packed 3 Blue Ladies, that (well, emptied my hand, but...) suicided 3 Germs, removed for Necrofear, activate DF, suicide 3 Germs, remove for necrofear 2, etc. Orcs as well work great for some silliness, and Slates can be nuked by your own NoC for a DF swarm.
things like that.

Well, if the text that Madness Pharoah presented is accurate, then look carefully cause:

Wicked God - Dreadroot
Dark/Demon/10/4000/4000
This card cannot be special summon. This card can only be Normal Summon by sacrificing 3 monsters on your field. When this card is face-up on the field, the attack and defense strength of all of your other monsters are halved.
it means that swarming becomes detrimental for yourself. Unless, you have a need to get monsters destroyed, specifically.
So, Dragon-Reborn, Reverse Trap IS a good idea. Comes in handy if at least one of the monsters you Tributed for Dreadroot is Skull Knight #2.
As for Kokazy tactics, believe me, im already sketching a few different outlines for possibilities to abuse the plethora of themed Kokcards.

Ok...what about using Great Maju Garzett...ewwww thats disgustingly strong. I mean....who the heck would want to use that much raw ATK power?
anyone who decks Ectoplasmer, Ring+Barrel, Wok, Megamorph, Catapult Turtle, Ultimate Offerings, .....should I go on?
Back to Dreadroot, Im kind of glad I still have 2 Dark Spirit of the Silent, actually. That with Covering Fire, or Cross Counter seems almost mean :devious: But Im still thinking outside of a strict Fiend deck with Dreadroot. How about Rescue Cat? Play Last Will with it, bring out Cat's Ear Tribe plus a Nimble, and any other Beast (hmm). Suicide Nimble for 2 Nimble. That's 4 Beast types in one turn on the field. Tribute 3 for Dreadroot, force an attack on Nimble and activate Covering Fire. DILLIE-OOOO!!!! How do you feel about combining your first love with your new one? Earth deck + Fiend deck = FienDillideck
Geez, there a massive load of things you could do. Dreadroot is the ....expander card. the Crossbreeder. The Hybridizer.
G Kokazy is Fiend supreme. Or do I need to start getting into how you can trigger G's effect with Metamorphasis? Or how about Ceasefire? Normal Tribute Summon + Last Will?
*sigh* I have more ideas than I do cards. I need to go card shopping.
Wicked God - Dreadroot (DARK)
Level: 10
[Demon/Effect]
This card cannot be Special Summoned. This card can only be Normal Summon by sacrificing 3 monsters on your side of the field. As long as this card is face-up on the field, the ATK and DEF strength of all Monsters are halved(excluding this card).
ATK/ 4000 DEF/ 4000
Anywho, if it reduces only your monsters, I'll run as many Reverse Traps as I do Dreadroots, and in any case, Staunch Defender will rule with this on the field.
EDIT:
Just realizing that this'll be my last post before leaving....
Expect to hear from me again in about a week's time ;)
have a safe flight, and a cold pint for me when you get there.
Ill plan for both possibilities with Dreadroot, but wont hold my breath on ANYthing. Translation and text alterations are by now infamous in this game. Just a wait and see thing:
A- Dreadroot will affect all other monsters on the field
B-Dreadroot will affect monsters on your side of the field.
Fiend will OFFICIAL have THE strongest Level 4 Monster in the game.
And this guy is actually playable. I think I could fit it into my deck just by making a few adjustments.
I mean, IN THE NAME OF ALL THAT'S EVIL, he's stronger than JINZO!!!
And whatever happened to:
Metalsilver Armor
Equip Spell Card As long as you control the monster equipped with this card, your opponent cannot use the effect of a Spell, Trap, or Effect Monster that targets 1 monster, except the equipped monster.
and
Raregold Armor
Equip Spell Card As long as you control the monster equipped with this card, your opponent cannot attack other monsters other than the equipped monster.
Or even the standard opening move:
Set G Kozaky and Creature Swap him. Activate Ceasefire and that's AT LEAST, 3000 damage! And that's IF there were no other monsters on the field other than Kozaky and the normal monster your opponent gave you!
Just mouse over the picture until an "expand" button pops up in the bottom-right of it and click on it to enlarge it.
Top Left is
Miracle Fusion
Normal Spell Remove the Fusion materials of a Fusion monster from your field and/or Graveyard from play, special summon a Fusion monster with [E-Hero] in its name from your Fusion deck. (This special summon is treated as a Fusion Summon)
Top Middle is
Conscription Order
Trap - Normal Turn the top card on opponent's deck over. If the card is a monster card that can be Normal Summon, Special Summon that monster onto your field. Otherwise, add that card to your opponent's hand.
Top Right is
G Kozaki
Dark/Fiend/4/2500/2400 This card is destroyed if "Kozaki" is not face-up on the field. When this card is destroyed while face-up, the controller of this card receives damage equal to original attack of this card.
Bottom Left is
Dimensional Wall
Trap - Normal This card can only be activated when your opponent declares attack. The opponent takes all Battle Damage to this card's controller that he/she would take from a battle this battle Phase.
Bottom Middle is
Cybernetic Magician
Light/Spellcaster/6/2400/1000 Discard a card from your hand. Until the end of this turn, the attack strength of 1 face-up monster on the field becomes 2000.
Bottom Right is
Power Bond
Magic - Normal Send Fusion material Monsters of a Fusion from your hand and/or side of the field into Graveyard, and special summon a Machine-type Fusion monster. The original attack strength of the special summoned monster is doubled. At the end of turn this card is activated, the player who activated this card receives damage equal to the original attack strength of the special summoned monster. (This special summon is treated as a Fusion Summon)

Honestly, I think Im more interested in the Conscription Order. Not only does it make Convulsion of Nature, Back to Square One, Maharaghi, Chick the Yellow, and a few others more exciting, but it also looks like a revamped picture of Imperial Order!:p
Yes, the setting + Creature Swap+ Ceasefire combo is what I was referring to earlier, in post 2150.
Creature Swap will be an essential in this kind of deck for G Kokazy and for the normal Kokazy. Much less when you have Tomatos searching and stuff. Can you believe how well the 4 star Special Summoning of Familiar Knight and Maurauding Captain will work with this? Ugh...warriors.
Im wondering if I could use GKokazy to lower my own LP for some interesting side strategies: aka OTKO...Reversal Quiz, Last Turn, Megamorph, etc. the attack, level, damage effect, all of it, make it the first Fiend based card with a possibility for some kind of true OTK.
Here's a heavy-powered combo! Give the opponent the G Kozaky, Ring the monster, and Barrel the damage from the RoD. That is 7500 damage! Unless your opponent hasn't taken damage yet, that would be game!
BTW, almost 50,000 people have viewed this site. Next time I'm on and the count is 50000+, I'll bring out the pina coladas, and even some champagne! Enjoy ^_^
Wicked God - Deadroot cuts the ATK and DEF of ALL monsters by half.
WHOO HOO!!!!!
Say it with me!!!!
B-R-O-K-E-N!!!!

wow, TwelfthFaucet is also receding from the game? Im getting old. Everyone I know and respect is slowly going the way of the dinosaurs.
G Kokazy is going to be a landmine for the most part. You have to imagine that your chances of getting Creature Swap in a timely manner, along with G Kokazy is limited to a 2-40 chance. I stink at math, but I think that's like 5 % of simply finding Creature Swap. If you have to get the 2 cards together, then the chances get slimmer.
So, Im trying to think of ways to decrease the odds, or increase ways to give it(or at least its damage) to your opponent.
Creature Swap is the main one
RoD+Barrel is the 2nd
Exchange could make it a very upsetting summon for the opponent.
Feather of the Phoenix can bring back a used/misused Creature Swap
Skill Drain was mentioned, but that should be obvious as a simple beatdown method
Im still thinking that I might like it in a Fiendish Last Turn deck, that reduces my LP points enough to trigger LT. Since Jowls and Necrofear (and a remote possibility of Brain Jacker)are already suited to that goal, G Kokazy would fit easily.
The Dreadroot effect is great news, for it keeps attackers at bay. Im so convinced that between these 2 new cards that some sort of hybrid OTK is just tantalizing moments away! Ugh!! I have to get cracking on some ideas.
