"And another of my needlers should weaken the She-Hulk enough for the others to finish her off," the Mad Thinker stated.

"Nothing would make me happier," the Super Skrull said, extending a pair of massive Thing-like fists at the end of a pair of rubbery arms. He brought them down on her head, and the She-Hulk was out cold.

The Android replicated the Super Skrull's fire-control abilities and took a shot at Lockjaw. The Inhuman's canine faded out just in time and the blast struck the ground where he had stood a split-second before.

"I could have predicted that," the Thinker said.

"Instead of pretending after the fact that you knew what was going to happen," Doom said sarcasm tinged with menace, "perhaps you could make yourself useful and tell us ahead of time what to expect."

"I can tell you that this battle is not over yet," the Thinker said. "The Fantastic Four still has a few friends left in the area that I expect will show up momentarily, one of which will be their most powerful ally of all."

Wow, I went from likely winning to likely losing pretty quickly here:

Striding through the sky the Silver Surfer and Spider-Man look down upon their foes.

"What an advantage we have from this viewpoint, Spider-Man," Surfer says.

"Advantage? Yeah, now we see Mad Thinker's bald spot," Spider-Man quips. "Speaking of which, Doom is bound to notice us within seconds, maybe a sneak blast at the Thinker, the guy with the least defenses there, will shake things up."

"My thoughts exactly, friend," and he lifts his fingers and aims....

Actually, I had switched Doom's Mastermind fodder to the Android back in post 198. So Awesome Andy takes 1 after Invulnerable. Sorry about that. I should have been clearer. Given how many turns it's been going on, it wasn't fair to expect you to remember it from a page and a half back.

You didn't roll for Doom's Skrulliness either. Quick roll to move things along is a 5, so it's all good. (And Thinker didn't hve LoF to the Surfer, so he couldn't force him to reroll anyway.)

And after all that, I clear.

"No, Doom," Norrin Radd shook his head, "this day will not be charmed for you. I will devote the not inconsiderable power at my disposal to stopping your plans."

"Big words, Surfer," the Super Skrull said taking to the air. "I hope you're hungry, because I plan to make you eat them." He blasted at the Surfer with all the power of the Human Torch, but the Surfer swerved around the attack. The Skrull immediately followed it up with the same long-distance punch that he used to fell the She-Hulk, but again he missed Norrin Radd.

"I have dodged asteroids flying through the depths of space at hundreds of miles per hour. Avoiding your clumsy attack is simplicity itself."
