You may have some positioning off. Gypsy's in J13, so Lizard in J11 couldn't have attacked her and with Spectre in J12 and Giant-Man in K13, they'd have blocked any LOF to her for Psimon to Outwit. As it is, they were all misses anyway, so no harm, no foul.
Character roll: 4 Spectre. Event: 2 Secret Passage. For once, this actually works out. I'll open up the wall at K15/K16, giving Raven LOF to Ghost Rider so she can use her PC on him. Maybe. If I knock Giant-Man off Outwit.
I realize I left all the action tokens on my guys last turn for the ghosts. They should all have cleared at the end of the turn except Gypsy.
Let's start with Spectre on the Hulk. AV11 on DV18. Gets 6. Rerolls for Gargoyle. Gest 8 (4+4). Hulk takes 3. Also KB to M12, and since he's on Willpower after Spectre's hit, he takes a 4th click for hitting the wall.
Changes my plans. Gargoyle will take a swipe at Giant-man, AV8 on DV17. Gets 6. Ah well, that was minor.
Ghost Rider on Hulk, AV10 on DV15. Gets 5. Glad I didn't go for Giant-man. Hulk takes 3 from Psychic Blast.
Raven tries to finish him off. AV9 on DV13 +1. Gets 6. 2 more to Hulk KOs him.
Hellboy on Nightmare. AV9 on DV14. Gest 7. Nightmare's down too. Now that's the kind of turn to get me back in this game.
"There are many who cry out for vengeance against you, Hulk," the Spectre said. "It will be my pleasure to give them satisfaction." The Spectre hit the Hulk. Strong as the Hulk was, he was no match for the supernatural powers of the Spectre. His hit sent the Hulk flying into the wall.
"Ghost Man make Hulk angry!" the monster snarled. "Hulk eat Ghost Man!"
"No Hulk, the Spectre's got no monopoly on vengeance," Ghost Rider said. "Time for me to exact my own vengeance." Hellfire washed over the Hulk, burning his undead soul. Between the Spectre and the Ghost Rider, Hulk had very little energy left.
"Hulk will still eat you all," he threatened weakly.
"If anger makes the Hulk stronger, perhaps we should see what happens to him when I use my empathic powers to calm him down," Raven said, reaching out to the Hulk.
"Nnngh, no," the Hulk said losing strength as his anger sapped away. "Hulk not go. Hulk...not...surrender...to Banner..." But despite his protests, the putrefied flesh melted off his bones and he changed from zombie Hulk to mere zombie Bruce Banner, who then collapsed limply to the floor.
"Lessee, Nightmare. Don't think I ever heard of you before," Hellboy said. "Not that it matters. You demon-princes are all pretty much the same."
"Fool! I am the master of the dark dreams. I am Nightmare!"
"Yeah? I don't have nightmares," Hellboy said, punching him out. "I give 'em."
Nightmare I'd expected to see drop but not Hulk. Gulp.
Since Lizard's & Psimon's moves were not legit, I'm removing them from last turn. Hope that's cool with you since it was a move they couldn't make. I think if incorrect moves are made they need to be addressed before moving on though, might've done something else with those guys.
I'll draft Trigon and Loki. This ought to speed up this game.
Character roll: 4 Loki, Event roll: 5, possession.
Lizard to M7.
Trigon uses darkness within to hit Hellboy, Needs anything but 2, rolls 4. Hellboy's out. 1 to Lizard.
Loki gets the possession roll. First Giant-Man outwits Gypsy's pc. For possession needs 6, rolls 6. Spectre's possessed. I could have him attack Gypsy but there's too much risk there. He'll move to T22. Doesn't do much but make him waste his next turn.
Loki on Gypsy. Needs 6, rolls 10. SS is 2. That's three to her.
Giant-Man on Gypsy. Needs 8, rolls 9. And let the pc wars begin. Gargoyle rerolls 7. Loki rerolls 7.
"Spectre, truly thou art the most threatening of foes. Best begone with thee!" Loki jokes as he enters the scene and with his magic he forces the Spectre outside of the house.
"It will take much more than that to stop me, Loki, but I'll give you this. At least you stopped me for the moment, but that is all you get," Spectre thinks to himself.
"Wow, that Loki is one tough dude!" Hellboy says.
Trigon suddenly appears next to him. Hellboy turns to see him. Trigon sneers. Hellboy growls.
"What's the matter, did they run out of decent Halloween costumes at the store?" Hellboy asks.
Next is like a scene out of a horror film as Hellboy is torn into viciously.
Psimon watches as long as he can but feels he has to turn away. "Disgusting...can't our demons have the decency to be tidy and less gruesome?".
Hellboy's out, another Indy is in, U Witchblade. She'll have a Vendetta against Trigon.
Character roll: 4. Spectre, but he's not in the house. Very well then, rerolls 6. Witchblade. Event is 1. Slamming door. Wouldn't you know. The one time this event would actually make a difference and I get it. The door between M and N6 closes, cutting her off from Trigon.
She'll move to N9 then, cutting her off from immediate retaliation.
Spectre to O12
Gypsy take a shot at Giant-Man, AV9 on DV17. Gets 9, but has to reroll for Loki. Still gets 8. Only good for 1 after Toughness, but at least he loses his Outwit.
Gargoyle J14 (2!)
V Raven (IK-Triage) J15
V Ghost Rider (FF-Lazarus Pit) L15/L16
Spectre (Lazarus Pit) @@ O12
Gypsy (Pummel) @ J13
U Witchblade (Vendetta) @ N9
"And who is this morsel?" Trigon asked. "A light dessert after my main course?" Witchblade drew her sword to defend herself, but before either could strike, the door slammed between them.
"That may have been a good thing," she thought to herself, backing away from it.
"You are correct," the Spectre told her. "Trigon is an immensely powerful being. You would have been overmatched indeed."
"Oh come on Spectre," Gypsy said hitting Giant-Man in the foot with a fireplace poker. "We love the whole David and Goliath thing."
You missed the 3 damage to Gypsy last turn. Loki did it. Her damage to Giant-Man would be lost to his toughness. Want to give her something else to do?
Roll 1 - Gargoyle Event 3 - Ghosts. Swell. They roll 10. That's going to affect everybody.
Tokens to Gargoyle, Raven, ghost Rider, Giant-Man and Loki. Gypsy gets a second token and a push, but at thispoinyt of her dial, that's kind of a good thing.
Unfortunately, pretty much takes away my whole turn. Back to you.
Gargoyle @ J14 (2!)
V Raven (IK-Triage) @ J15
V Ghost Rider (FF-Lazarus Pit) @ L15/L16
Spectre (Lazarus Pit) O12
Gypsy (Pummel) @@ K14 (stealth) (4!)
U Witchblade (Vendetta) N9
Character roll: 5 Gypsy. Event 3. Ghosts. Again. Rolls 9. Raven, Gargoyle and Ghost Rider all get pushed. Giant-Man And Loki get tokens again. Only Gypsy herself, who's already pushed is safe.
Witchblade Charges to N7, attacks Trigon. AV10 on DV18. Rolls a 12. Okay, that goes a long way toward making up for those Ghosts. Maybe. I'm not there yet. Blades is 3, make it 4 for the crit. Impervious is 4. So Trigon takes 2 and KB to L5. 1 to Witchblade
