I wouldn't have blamed him either. I would have a hard time myself giving up a SR for a Rare, even if it was duplicate for duplicate. But given the current values, the trade is pretty even.

Either way, I guess I spoke too soon, because he just PM'd me an offer. I'll be sure to toss in as many extras for him as I can to even things up in my mind.

Super rare for rare doesn't have to be a bad deal, especially given how much Nightcrawler is going for and how not much Superman is going for. If I had a Nightcrawler and didn't have a Superman I would do that for sure.

Question, if there was a Colossal dial designing contest (and let's assume that you like designing dials and feel confident in your dials) where the prize was an Aegisfang Colossal, would you pay $5 to enter?

Well, I'm actually getting the Green Goblin. But I am throwing in 2 other Rares from his list, 3 Uncommons and 3 Commons from past sets to help sweeten it a bit and to make me feel better about it.

While it doesn't suit me specifically, I'd say yes if I was into that sort of thing.

Smaller animals, but cool ones nonetheless. I mean, the only wildlife I have around here is pigeons...


As for the new banner, no offense meant, but I can't say I like it since I'm a Superman hater. The overall design is good though.
(the old Darkseid/Thanos one is my favorite, heh heh).

If you can appreciate the design even while hating the content, I'll take that as a pretty big compliment.

I'm looking forward to creating custom banners for each set. Hopefully a few actually, and we'll make 'em rotate.

2) No, probably not. I might pay $1 if the prize was a Colossal I really want like Starro (well, maybe $2), but otherwise I can't really see paying an entrance fee for that kind of thing, especially if the winning dial wasn't going to be turned into an official figure and the prize isn't a colossal I immediately recognize/know to be a legal heroclix figure.

Well, assuming the colossal was placed on a legal dial, I could maybe see paying a dollar or two depending on who the colossal figure was, perhaps a bit more if I could actually choose the figure he'd make or there were some kind of secondary prize (cheap or otherwise).

I'm probably feeing more confident about it though since I already have on pair of custom figure prizes under my belt. :P

Ultimately, though, how much I'd be willing to pay as an entrance fee would depend on knowing exactly how things would be set up and all.

Looks like it won't happen unless I do it on Facebook or something (which I figured might be an issue), though Typhon might have an idea on what can happen, though it won't be a pay to enter thing.

It would totally be the dial designers complete choice in who they want to make, and the voters would have no idea who created which dial and so on and so forth.
