THAT is not a bad thing. I'm the same way. I just can't stand trash in my Wild.
I agree completely. Between the things she learns in school and all the lessons she picks up from PBSKids, he environmental awareness is far higher than mine has ever been.
Well, here's another interesting thread that was derailed thanks to a few people who couldn't keep a civil tongue in their heads. I honestly wonder why I even bother sometimes.
The Ever Growing Trickster and Pied Piper KO List!
U Ganthet, Labcoat Beast, Cap and Bucky
Not removing this until we get Clock King and The Rose-01/23/11
Come on, NECA-Marvel Horror Theme Set 2011!

Ugh. Did that guy say "white people problems" un-ironically while mis-spelling Louis CK's name? Good call. That thread had to be put down, unfortunately.
Regarding the question, though, special objects are more dissimilar to feats than they are similar. They're point filler that can round out figures, but since they're either easily destroyed or not a sure thing, you can't depend on them.
On a related note, do you think the emergence of unbreakable 3d objects has contributed to the recent repeated nerfings of Stealth? It seems to me like a 0-point object that's very difficult to remove from the map would never have flown back in the Out Of The Shadows Batman days.

whats you take on banning figures at a venue and why?
We don't 'ban' anything at my venue. We do however restrict the use of CoG Galactus and The Spectre from regular play. Why? Have you played against them? They can only be taken down with the most min/maxed teams or teams specifically built to beat them (which is a laugh when you consider Cosmic MultiAttack), but I don't owe you any explanations!!!!

What's your opinion on Starro? I've only played against Galactus when I actually am using a fine-tuned anti-Galactus team, and I've never played against Specter in any context. Starro though I've played against maybe seven or eight times and I'm convinced that not only does it take a ridiculously min-maxed team to fight him, it's mathematically impossible to beat him with most teams that exist. And on any map where the map itself has hazards, it's particularly impossible. Ugh. Somebody blew off playtesting...

Subbing high school math. The teacher has planned to let the students take an online test, but he set the test open after the class is finished, so they have nothing to do.
I do not have a silver cross, but I do have a Bible, if that counts...

The retail version of Dr. Manhattan isn't much better. Unless you are playing a team specifically designed to beat him, probably packing figures with Mastermind and a ton of Bystander figures, you aren't going to win.

Ugh. The scenario piece colossals are not intended for regular use! WHY are they still legal? Why were they ever legal?

I'll never ban figures from my venue, but I will do creative builds that will limit certain figures. Like the last tournament we did which was 1,200 points, golden age, no colossals over 300 points.

My opinion on Starro is pretty much the same as yours. However, those of us who have him know not to bring him (and there are 4 of us who actually have one). The one guy (there is always that one guy) who would bring him and did, lost with him to me. However, on that day I metagamed the scenario, realizing 1) he had just acquired a Starro and 2) the build of the game was begging for it without realizing it. I ended up played E2 Superman and some stuff, and waited until the right time to unload on him before he healed. Even then, he healed once or twice before that. It almost came to time, as it took me most of an hour to set up the kill turn. No game should be that difficult.

I'd add him to the list along with Galactus and Spectre, sure. I just decided not to get one (thus breaking my 100% completism...disease).
