The battlefield was crisscrossed by energy beams as the Hammer Drones fired at their opponents. Melter got tagged by one of the stray blasts, but the wild random shots seemed to miss the others.
"That's it!" Melter threatened, "just for that, you are slag!"
"You're attempting to use intimidation on a mindless robot," the Black Widow pointed out.
"Yeah, my therapist says I have some anger management issues."
Widow to break? 5. She'll rs to I2 attacking Cobra. SC is 3. Needs 7, rolls 8. 2 to him after toughness.
Can Byrne tk away Melter? With a 6 break away he can. Tks him to I1.
Masque on Cobra. SC is 1. Needs 6, rolls 6. 2 to him.
Byrne tks Commando to K4.
He lowers Cobra's damage to 1.
Mole Man outwits Cobra's l/c.
Adaptoid has giant reach so he can target anyone within two squares, yes? Drone 3 then. Needs 5, rolls 5. Is he subject to psychic blast, requiring a ranged action or no? 3 damage if not, 2 otherwise.

MODOK on Super-Adaptoid with Psi-Blast, AV11 on DV17. Gets 10. 4 Penetrating Damage KOs him.
Pierce pops through the teleporter to N13.
Evolutionary Perplexes Moonstone's Damage to 4. She takes a Psychic Blast on Mole Man. AV10 on DV16. Gets 5.
Hammer uses ATA to Perplex Pierce's Damage to 4 and his regular Perplex to make it 5.
Pierce Charges to I10, blocking the Adaptoid and attacking Mole Man, AV10 on DV16. He gets 5.
Baron Blood attacks Mole Man, AV7 on DV16. Gets only a 7. KOs himself.
I've noticed that I've been very light on the heroes this game. I've been waiting for some kind of inspiration, but mostly that's been with the villains. I'm going to try to break out of that box, at least for this turn. Colleen Wing and Misty Knight Duo, with The Hand ATA.
Colleen goes all Blades on Mole Man, AV11 on DV16. Gets 8, but SS is 6. The little twerp's been extremely lucky.
Colleen Outwits his Outwit at least, giving Cobra his L/C back.
Cobra won't waste his time trying to hit Widow's CR. He'll try to Pounce. Can he break? Gets 2. With L/C that's good. Pounces to G2 and tries to hit Byrne. AV8 +1 on DV15. Gets 11. 2 to Byrne after Toughness and 1 to Cobra.
"Foolish creature, AIM created you. AIM can destroy you," MODOK declared, activating a destruct mechanism deep within the Super-Adaptoid's core.
"What have you done to me?" the Super-Adaptoid asked.
"A little safeguard, to make sure you never turned against us. Pity I had to use it. You cost quite a lot of money to create, but I suppose we can make at least some of that back by recycling your parts."
"Noooooo!" the Super-Adaptoid screamed as he blew up.
"We're surrounded by creeps and lowlifes, and those are our allies," Colleen said, attempting to catch the Mole Man, but the little man was too slippery.
"Surrounded by creeps and lowlifes," Misty repeated. "Sounds just like that nightclub we went to last weekend."

My bad. You Perplexed 203's Damage down. Scorpion's not out, just on her last click, and Justin stays put.
I'd also change my Outwit slightly, use Misty and Colleen's on Mole Man's SS (since it wouldn't be fair to take that back) and Daredevil would Outwit Scorpion's Poison instead.
Bummer about Scorpion. I'd hoped she'd last at least one more turn.
Ok Shuma, time to wake up. Gets 6. Oh nice. He doesn't need to run and hide. He attacks White King. Needs 5, rolls 6. 2 to him. Can use flurry: needs 4, rolls 11. He's out.
Widow on Drone #203. Needs 5 for a ko, rolls 3. Shuma makes it 9. He's out.
Claremont tks the lo from K3 to G2.
Melter absorbs the LO and is fully healed.
I thought War Machine was SHIELD but I must be thinking of the movies. I'll draft the HoT version and he'll rs to L5 targeting MODOK and Justin. Rolls 3. Grrrr.
Commando boosts Shuma's dv to 18.

"MODOK? High Evolutionary? Half of Hammer Industries? You folks don't play around," War Machine says targeting MODOK with his repulsors. "Then of course, neither do I."
MODOK shoots down his blasts with ease, "You were saying?".
"Never mind..." he replies, disappointed that this first outing was less than stellar.
