I think older cars are like boats. You don't buy them, you rent them. An old car takes a lot of maintenance, and you need a place to store it, only to drive it for a few minutes every now and then. They look cool, though.
My friend owns a company that primarily services classic cars. I love walking through his shop and checking out all of the cool vehicles. Then I see how difficult it is to get the parts, and how much it all costs to fix them, and I think....nah, not for me.
I imagine that renting classic cars is a lot easier in certain cities where there is a vibrant night life and people want to show off their stuff in a different way.

My dad had a ‘46 Packard Clipper that was pretty cool looking and ran, but in reality did need quite a bit of work. After he passed my mom sold it to some guy with a company who rents out such cars for use as set decorations in movies. I have often wondered if I have ever seen it pop up in some film I watched.

You can like reskin newer cars to look like older ones.
Just heard this in the car the other day and thought it was cool. I'm going to check out some more by these guys.
Wow. I didn't know these guys were still around. I tried to get into their music when I was younger, but nothing ever really grabbed me. This song was pretty good.
I remember this song. Great album. I didn't realize they made an official video for it. Man, looking at that album again, a lot of good songs. What's your favorite? Mine is Woodpecker From Mars.

Surprise You're Dead or From Out of Nowhere are my two favorite. Most of the time it matters what mood I am in because I may side with another song.
I'll let you decide which version of Steppin' Out you want to add to the master list.
In the late 70's there were some British new wave artists that completely dominated, The Clash (Joe Strummer), Elvis Costello, and Joe Jackson. I prefer Joe Jackson, but that's like saying I caught a trout.
San Jacinto - Peter Gabriel https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t1IxE6z1tjo
I don't consider him new wave but his song fits for today. Tony Levin playing a Chapman Stick during this song. Paula Cole is his backup singer, I don't remember if you see her or not.

So many bands that I have heard of and after listening to them I just couldn't get into it. Slam was interesting and was a very lively rap song when it came out, so much energy. I am surprised that the members of Onyx have voices that work anymore their vocals sound so raspy.

Checking back in, and also not so slyly editing a couple earlier weird autotyping mistakes from previous posts. Didn't we just talk about how it sucks posting from phone on here.
Showdown - ELO With a video I never even knew existed.
Sing Along - Sturgill Simpson with a video from the Sound & Fury Anime
She's My Man - Scissor Sisters I love the Scissor Sisters. I've missed a couple of my favorites, but here is a contender!
She Sells Sanctuary - The Cult I am pretty certain this is the song I trashed my speakers to a couple times in college. Still love it. Impossible to play too loud, or to go too fast while listening to it
Saved by Zero - The Fixx Another from when I was first getting into Alt/ College Rock. Wore out this cassette a couple times, I'm sure.
Seven Bridges Road - The Eagles. A song that deserves a slot on that Haven or whomever list of songs that were better as a cover than the original.
Sara - Fleetwood Mac Damn, another song that brings back some amazing memories. Just a haunting tune and Fleetwood Mac at their creative, chaotic, drug addled best.

The intro guitar is cool, and then there's farting? Oh, no, that's the singer "growling". The singing really takes away from this song. I like the music, but not his sounds.
I'm currently in the middle of watching Community. I saw this scene a few days ago. I am finding myself watching it over and over. It's just brilliant.
