Sure, I'll go marvel-Will you allow good guy wildcards to mix with good guy teams? I'm thinkin' Defenders since it will essentially have the basics of an RPG group (a magic caster, basher, sneak, healer). Otherwise I will go with the Avengers. Let's get this party started!
Eh . . .
I have no sekrets, I just am.
Want to see me strip, sing, screw up my lines, and dance for my senior year spring play? Then check this out!
ok put a link to the new thread here...after we get teams started. let me get it straight...6 figs. all rookies. lowest fig cost no matter what set. 3 have to be xmen. is that all the constraints?

Hmmm... seems like a interesting Clix RPG. Do you have a written version of the rules with all the changes and additions added? And would you like me to make a web page displaying the rules? I really like to try a campaign style heroclix game sometime at the shop I play at.
Husband, Father, and Retired Herclix player. Still collecting clixs that I like.

You can have the Defenders if you want, it's your choice. They certainly have less possibilities for expansion than the Avengers do, but if you want to try it, you can.
There are only six characters with the Defenders TA, which means, given the rules, you would only be able to have a maximum of eleven characters on your team (six with the TA means you can recruit up to five characters without). Also, two are X-Men, which means Clixhunter could steal them when they go to Veteran.
This brings up an important point about the rules. If you've got Exp. Beast, and you don't want CH to steal him, should you just be able to leave him at E, or could CH force you to level him up? You guys tell me how you feel about that.
Oh yeah, and if you do the Defenders, just to let you know, I've never read that title, so it'll be pretty hard for me to write; just to give you fair warning.
Alright everyone, now that we've got four players and everyone seems to have given their two cents for rules, I think it is about a good time for me to start writing them up. Hopefully I can have them written and posted before Friday, because I'm living in West Palm Beach, in the path of hurricane Francis, and I might have to evacuate Friday. So, I'll try to get the v2.0 rules up by tomorrow, hopefully.
my thoughts on the defenders/xmen thingie...id he wanted to keep iceman and beast at E he should be allowed to do that...and the whole stealing thing...well id have to pay him in TXP for the cost of the fig right? so its not really stealing...more like buying....

True, it is buying in the sense that you're paying him for it, but it's stealing in the sense that he can't refuse it. I guess you could think of it either way.
Alright dudes, I'm gonna start writing up the rules now. Here's how it's gonna work; I don't have the old file with me, so I'm gonna write it off the top of my head, hoping I can remember everything. When I'm finished, I'll post the rules on this thread, and the four of you can play editor, reading through it and trying to spot anything I might have missed, or maybe something you want changed. I'll make any revisions necessary, and then I'll post the completed rules in a new thread that will officially begin the Heroclix RPSC v2.0.
question #1 would i have to start with R from ultimates as hes 41 or either rookie?
question #2 do we have to follow the exact point progression for advancement? ie R-R-LE-E-E-LE-V-V for points? or can we go R-E-V-and only go LE if we want to? and only touch on one R/E/V?
#1. You have to start with the Ultimate Rookie (the cheapest version of the character).
#2-3. You can skip any or all. Here's how it works; at the end of a story arc (every three issues), you can promote characters based on how much IXP they have. You could hypothetically go all the way from Rookie Batman to KC Bats if he had 103 IXP (which would be 515 IAP, just for a frame of reference). Basically, you can level up as for as your IXP can get you. For instance, if Unique Cyclops had 21 IXP, he could go all the way to the Ultimates Experienced version, and by leveling up to that point, you would also have access to all previous versions (both Rookies, in this case). So, in short, yes you can skip levels, and there is absolutely no downside to doing that.
You guys don't think there should be a downside, do you?
Alright guys, change of plans. Sometimes God throws curveballs, and this curveball is named Francis. Like I mentioned before, I'm living in West Palm (Florida), right in the path of the hurricane. I was expecting to evacuate around Friday, but it turns out I'm gonna have to leave today. So, unless I can get on a computer at the place I'm evacuating to, I won't be able to post the rules until Tuesday at the earliest.
So until then, stay dry, and post any questions you have here even though I probably won't be able to answer them promptly.
I would like to make a proposal as too the team members-
Much like we did when the JSA was discussed, I would like to offer up that some extra figs be added to the Defenders team to give them some extra guys. Much Like I feel guys like the U Flash ans Starman should be in the JSA, so to I think that some other figs, while never really defenders, would fit well in the team. In the Herolympics, we added figs that were friendly to the Main Defenders(Hulk, Strange, Surfer). This allowed us to include some really great figs, like Doc Sampson, Moondragon, Beta Ray Bill, Adam Worlock, and Firelord. Now, maybe these guys should not be considered as "start" figs, but we could allow them to be recruited as if they were a fig with the TA(like they count as a TA holder instead of "against the cap"). It is just a thought, and I like it, just to help out the Prof.
Any who agree are cool with me. besides, I don't really see many of the mentioned figs getting snatched by the rest of us.
having read the defenders avidly...they were the penultimate Un-Team. so in some aspects im cool with the idea of adding figs. not on all youve mentioned though.
defenders based on team ability
Dr Strange
Silver Surfer
Beast
Iceman
Hellcat
Hulk
defenders based on appearance within that book
Archangel
Black Panther
Daredevil
Moon Knight
Moondragon
defenders based on association
Adam Warlock
Doc Samson
Firelord
i disagree with beta ray bill...he really never had anything to do with any defenders.
an arguement could even be made about including Thanos.
