Eh, if I recall the "Identity Crisis" right, then Heat Wave showing up with several others who used flames as a weapon, over in a Superman comic, could be considered the right answer for the three people and the flame as their weapon, and Despero as the guy behind them at that point. But I can't remember who the other two were.
Two flaws in that theory, Mr. Holmes. One, I said they fought the Justice League of America, not Superman. Two, you should know I've never been any closer to reading an "Identity Crisis" comic than George W. Bush has to joining MENSA.
Process of deduction:
If Captain Cold is correct, then a possible string of answers would be Captain Cold, Mr. Freeze, Killer Frost, cold, and... hmm... who would hire them? Heat Wave? Weather Wizard?
If Heat Wave is correct, I can't think of enough other heat/fire villains to give a reasonable answer.
If Sonar is correct, it could be Sonar, Count Vertigo, Geo-Force, made-up Eastern European countries, and Per Degaton.
If ray guns are correct, then Adam Strange is the most awesome JLAer you never knew was in the JLA.
If Amos Fortune is correct, then it could be King, Queen and Jack, using flying playing cards, and Amos (who used giant probability determining machines, not flying playing cards).

When our story opens, the Question is investigating an impossible locked-room murder mystery involving a midget and a 6'6"-tall call girl into heavy bondage. Don't worry, I'll explain later. It's all vitally relevant.

The JLA were involved, it was part of the ID Crisis storyline. These guys wanted revenge for the mind-tampering. It was, however, in a Superman comic and Supes was the primary hero (being his book and all).
Geez, Mr. Rice, JTR seems to think you have a fetish for marginally-talented anorexic drugged-out skanks. You don't, do you?
I knew a guy once who thought that Kevin Federline was a genius for getting with Britney Spears, getting "famous," and getting a chunk of her money in the divorce.
But no.

I have to agree with that. It certainly beats working.
They do that to any celeb who's a size 4 or over. Marilyn Monroe was a 14.
True enough, but the press is far worse these days then back when Marilyn was alive.
Britney's weight problems as a front page story while the war in Iraq is a few pages into the paper. That's just not right. Now, maybe if Brit pulled out a gun at a concert and started to randomly pick-off people, that might be good front page stuff, but not her weight problems.
The sad part is, it's also a case of the news business giving people what they want.
I have to agree with that. It certainly beats working.
And he got to have free sex with her. That could've been Wyld. Wyld could be Federline. Be nice to him and he may order some customs clix from you. One of Brit, one of Lindsey, one of Paris and maybe even Agulera. Maybe a set of the Simpson sisters and one of Glenn Close or Glen Cambell and a Sally Jessie Raphael. Who knows?
Okay, so he earned the money. Much like Anna Nicole Smith.
Eh... not sure Anna had sex with her hubby. Maybe, but we may never really know. And if there is a video of them consumating their marriage, who'd really want to see it? Not me. I'd just take your word for it.
Just a word to the people who are still trying to answer the trivia question in this thread, I will be AFK all day tomorrow, so I won't be able to respond until tomorrow evening.
