Well that Wizard World fun time. I'm a bit concerned though....Wizkids roped me in with two other games, Pirates (which I've been interested in but have been trying to resist for awhile) and the new Star Wars Pocketmodels. Guess there goes the rest of my paycheck, who needs to eat?
What are you talking about, silly funny man? I gave up eating chinese take-away last night so I could buy that ultra-sweet Zatanna statue. LOL!!
S'all good. We had a blast, man, truly! Most fun I've had at WizardWorld since the first one back in 2002. Can't wait 'til next year's event. WOOT!!
I am really excited about the new changes in the Avengers set, and plan to play in the Heralds events. This would be my first time ever playing Heroclix in a "tournament setting", or at a venue of any kind. Since I can only play on the weekends, I only have a few venues to choose from (I don't mind travelling to the far outreaches of Philly). Could anyone give me advice on which of these venues would be a great place for a first-timer to get into the game? Any other info would be appreciated, like do I have to call in advance to join or just sign up on Wizkids' website, etc.
Here's my selection:
Comics & More in Plymouth Meeting
Comic Universe in Folsom
Compleat Strategist in King of Prussia
Cyborg One in Doylestown
Brave New Worlds in Willow Grove
Based on times, I'd lean toward Comics & More, but I'm willing to try anywhere that's fun, and will not scare a newbie.
For future reference, the Central Parking lot at the corner of 8th & Market (across from the PATCO stop & Burger King) charges a flat $10 for parking up to 12 hours on Saturdays & Sundays.

Welcome aboard brucetosis! Glad to have you join in the conversation.
I'll definately vouch for All Things Fun as a cool venue that gets ALOT of players out to their events on the NJ side of the bridge. Toteman is the judge there (as you may have figured out) and I'm sure he'd be more than happy to answer any questions you have. Just shoot him a PM.
As far as in PA, the events at Compleat Strategist in King of Prussia are run by Krusticlese, the events Alternate Universe in Folsom are run by BudPalmer and the events at Comics & More are run by AZS. They are all awesome judges, regulars on the realms, and run great events. I'm sure that if you are interested in attending Heralds events they would be more than happy to help you get aquainted with their respective venues (house rules, how to sign up, etc). Send them a PM and I'm sure they'll help you out! Hope that helps.
I will have to try to contact people to see what's what. Worse comes to worse, I'll have a bunch of places I'll want to try!
Oh, there's all Hall of Heroes, located on the upper level of the Cherry Hill Mall. We meet there on Saturdays @ noon. Good people, good conversation, and most of all, a good time to be had/shared by all. :cool

Hola, and welcome to the Realms! I go to Compleat Strategist and Comics&More a lot, especially in the summer, and both venues are great. As Az said, the judges there are great and will help out with whatever you need. Both places are pretty laid back and great to go to, so you'll have a grand ol' time!
Yup. Street hasn't had his priorities in order through his entire tenure as mayor, but there's a politics policy on the realms so that's all I'll say about that.
Anyway, the Phils are making me sick. I can't figure them out. Just when I start to think they have a ligitimate shot at overtaking the Mets they get swept in a doubleheader by the Mets!
That's why I can only root for one Philly team. It's too much strain on the heart all year if you root for them all. Between that and the cheese steaks you are almost guranteed to fall over from heart failure. :knockedou
I must say Kudos to Azrael0626 for his upcoming scenario "Obey the Law!"
There are some really nice aspects to it and I will definitely have to use some of the features in an upcoming scenario. I like the "arrest" feature.
