Wait a sec... I thought he was going to meet the other Cap, the commie smasher from the 1950's, whose former partner was Jack Monroe, whom Bucky supposedly killed awhile back ???
Hmm maybe you are right. I thought it was the Skrull ship Cap but he is still in the savage land so that would be hard to explain.
Taken from elsewhere (sorry, I couldn't find any spoilers);
SECRET INVASION #4 - Earth is falling to the Skrull Empire! The Avengers and Initiative have failed! But Fury is on the scene and two of Marvel's heaviest hitters finally get involved in the Marvel universe
I wouldnt be surprised if they did an issue of avengers (both new and mighty ) that covered this. So far they have been linking the skrulls to every thing else, The Raft break out, House of M , so im sure Civil War will be next.
I'm having a hard time with the picture of her on the operating table. It's not just the huge implants setting there but if they were to operate on her wouldn't she turn back? I'm confused. I better start over again.

I thought the Skrull took Jessica's place AFTER Jess had the surgery?
I'm not sure if anyone's mentioned this, I haven't kept track on here, but I think Sentry's wife, Lindy, is a skrull. Because she asks Tony Stark to either cure Sentry or kill him, just a way for Bendis to retcon his wife and make him a single, "love-intrest" character*.

Did anyone else get all warm and fuzzy inside when Iron Man bellowed out "Avengers Assemble!" with cap, thor and the rest (including some baddies) to back him up for the first time in a while in #6? Glad to see the Avengers (or some form of it) working together again.

But then it was revealed on Marvel's webpage, showing off the commercial they made, that Ironman is a Skrull. It's in the text on that page.

Not really, considering it doesn't feel the same with Winter-Cap taking the spot....and Hank Pym is gone...and Vision is part of the kid's team...eh, you see where I'm headed. I'm okay with things adjusting, new stories, etc. but along with that comes the loss of feelings for certain things if they're attempted to be reinvoked.
I didn't usually get any excitement out of "Avengers Assemble!" back when the team was Dr. Druid, Monica, Namor, etc. either.
"Nobody important? That's amazing. You know, in 900 years of traveling time and space I've never met someone who wasn't important."
