Hey all. Long time no read. Glad to see HCOL is still going.

Anyways, I need some help. When I have some free time I would like to test out a VPN (Hamachi is a VPN) program called Wippien http://www.wippien.com/ Or, if someone can test it out before I get some free time would be great.

If this program can work with HCOL then we can have a single chat room for 200 players. No more 16 player per room limit! And its a totally free program. I just need to figure it out and test it with someone.

I am hoping for the best.

While I do think it's time we moved to something big enough to accommodate more than 16 users in a channel (and I'm happy to say - we're certainly there), I have a problem with the fact that it doesn't work on Macs, and we seem to have plenty of Mac users wanting to play.

Of course, you might argue that Hamachi only halfway works for Mac users anyhow (since chat is impossible, it functions only as a raw VPN). Still... I support looking into this and hope we can find a solution for our Mac users.

you could always go to a ventrilo server with both chat and voice available. The cost is relatively negligible and as long as you post channel details, pretty much everyone can get in it.

Well Vent is good. But, what I am talking about is a new VPN. Because of people's routers, ISPs, firewalls, and/or their PC's IP address is not compatible. We have to use Hamachi to connect Player A's HCOL to Player B's HCOL. The only problem is the chat room size limit of 16.

If we can make Wippien work (and hope it comes out for Mac users) we can all share just one big chat room and use it to connect our HCOLs and play.

As always, just unzip and overwrite whatever you had in the HCOL folder. NOTE: of course this will erase certain existing data - back up any customs you may have!

The new Alter Ego mechanic seems simple enough to play with using HCOL - just include the "transformed" superhero in your team and set him aside and off the map until needed. I may alternatively create simple "mini-dials" starting at the orange lines of the replacement figs... it's another option.

I just re-upped the whole file (Apr 15th) because I caught a few small mistakes (Diana Prince and Wizard Shazam had mistakes in the leaked data, Mademoiselle Marie is a Soldier not a Spy KW). I also tweaked the SuperMarket map to prevent a confusing interpretation of the elevated terrain.

Users will note that I handled Shazam/Black Adam as separate 140-point pieces. It's easy enough to simply add them both to a team and follow one dial at a time.

All other pieces that involve "swapping" (AE's, promoters) are easy - just put the switcheroo figure on your team and set them aside until needed.

UPDATE - I just added a quick download of the Blackest Night figures (see the link beneath the complete package). Because this update also redefines all the PAC info, I leave it separate from the complete package for now, and I will modify it further if the upcoming rulebook has more changes.
