Mastermind doesn't say "transfer" either. In fact, it reads almost identical to Larfleeze power.
"Transfer" is not a game defined term. Certainly not like "damage dealt", "counter", "place", etc. So, without a specific game defined term, we must default to the common usage of the term "transfer": moving something from one place to another.
So any power, feat, ability, etc that would move damage from one character to another "transfers" damage. And unavoidable damage can't be transferred.
The (poor, lacking) wording of his effects pretty much justify any question.

As I pointed out Mastermind doesn't say "transfer" either... so if you didn't have a problem with that, why is Larfleeze suddenly worth the attention?
Mastermind doesn't use "transfer" but there are characters like Chief who have a special Mastermind that do use "transfer", implying that Mastermind transfers damage.

Which, since Mastermind itself doesn't actually use the term, indicates that any re-assignment of damage is a "transfer".
Otherwise, that sentence at the end of Strategist would have no real meaning within the context of the game.
Larfleeze transfers damage to the Constructs.

I doubt his comment was directed at you or your comment, but more towards what a giant pain in the butt this character is in determining how he is supposed to be played. Especially since he is such a popular character that many people were looking forward to getting.

Well, "transfer" is also used in the definition of unavoidable damage. It's not game defined, but it's used by game effects quite a bit. Clarification that Larfleeze is transferring damage was needed.

But does it justify the snark?
What snark? You're reading tone into my statements that isn't there.

(Damage) Summon the Orange Lantern Corps: Once during your turn, you may give Larfleeze a free action and place an Orange Construct object on the map within 6 squares and line of fire. If there are already two or more of these objects on the map, this is a power action instead.
There is no limitation stated in his power. (1st page of this thread)

You've gotta admit, if there were a character that would draw so much attention to itself it would be Larfleeze. So it's hilariously ironic the time, attention, and arguments that are paid to his heroclick form.

I never thought of it but yes it is very ironic. good call
MASTERMIND: When this character would be dealt damage, you may instead choose to have all the damage be dealt to a single adjacent friendly character with a point value less than this character’s. Any additional effects of the damage dealt (knock back, penetrating damage, etc.) are applied to the character taking the damage. Damage dealt by this power is not an attack.
ORANGE LACKEYS: Whenever Larfleeze would be dealt damage, you may deal up to 3 of the damage to a single adjacent Orange Construct object and then remove it from the map.
So When someone would mastermind damage to Larfleeze, can he put that damage onto his Lackeys?

I believe so. It doesn't say that he has to be the target of the attack.

whats even funnier is my 19 month old is now starting to run around saying "mine" about everything I want to nickname her Larfleeze but my wife won't have any of that.

Q: Can any item other than the Print and Play tokens provided by Wizkids be used to represent the Orange Constructs (glass beads, Glomulus sculpts that have been removed, etc.)?
