So, I have the day off and it's raining and could be raining all day. Stupid nature.

We didn't bother with any Easter candy this year, knowing that while we'd hit it most of us would regret it soon after.

So, Easter was mainly marked by going to dinner with some relatives, which was nice enough.

No day off here. It's back into the mess. While we had another blast of rain overnight and may be seeing more later today, it's just cloudy here at this morning.

I've got one day in the office, two on the road painting numbers, and then on holidays - woohoo!!

I have a 15 page paper due on Thursday that I still really haven't started. I am waiting to here back from my primary source, but he is taking his sweet time.

I imagine I will be turning it in late...

The highlight of my Easter was coming home, I work nights, and the wife had placed an Easter basket on my side of the bed. Surprised the dogs didn't get to it, but deep down, I'll regret eating all the sugary goodness.

Worked the last 3 12 hour days. On call tonight; if I get called in I know I won't be missing any good weather.

They (Wright, Pegg, Frost etc.) definitely wouldn't have let it go that long if they really didn't like it. I just took it that Shaun was finding it to be a distraction -- not to mention even more zombie-attracting noise.

Yesterday will probably be the last Easter that absolutely did not wear me out completely (and it took its toll). I am going into the profession that works the absolute most on Easter and Christmas, since most people go to church on just those 2 days, and it is my job to make sure the service runs smoothly.

Yesterday went really well btw, as did Friday.

Piracy is no way to react to this kind of situation =P

Speaking of piracy, has anyone been following the the war between Sony and that hacker group Anonymous?

I think IP laws and federal willingness to press for ISPs and sites to divulge user/visitor info are continuing to spin wildly out of control. However, that's a side issue.

I've always been opposed to tech that is installed expressly to limit functionality, so the Sony case against George Hotz for modifying his PS3 and posting the info for others to potentially use does not win Sony any of my sympathies. If they concentrated on their product and lowered the price point for new games by $10 or so I suspect the rate of piracy would drop considerably on its own and the economy of scale (higher number of units sold) would see them in making out on this. Again, though, that can be considered a side issue to your question.

As for the Anonymous server attacks on Sony, I think it's a questionable to stupid move as it does at least as much to antagonize the users as it does Sony. They may be doing more to get mainstream fans more sympathetic to Sony; most people just want the path of least resistance. That said, it's the most obvious route if one's looking to use the tech to inconvenience Sony, cause them headaches and try to bring what otherwise could be a quiet, Gestapo-like action by the Sony legal team and the feds, to the broader attention of the public.
