I'm having a hard time with this role. Not because it's difficult, but because I'm not invested in the outcomes of lynches and pressure. I have no reason to vote one way or another. As long as I give out my gifts, I win.

Except you need to give either side a reason to keep you alive. Not voting makes you look like you're siding with the mafia, voting makes you look like you're siding with the town *shrugs*. It depends in the end on who has the kill powers and who might feel you are or aren't a threat. As a townie if I see you voting with the town often then I won't feel that you'll turn on us near the end game to get your win. Granted it could still happen but if you play your cards right then when that happens it'll be too late for the townie to do anything about it. Though voting with the town may make the mafia worry that you won't help them when the time comes. It's all a balancing act and you have to be able to do it just right.
