Captain Cold and the Weather Wizard were having a meeting with Mysterio, the Vulture and the Scorpion.

The three Spiderman enemies and the Rogues were going to exchange places.

The Webslinger villains were going to root out the Scourge Of the Underworld killers that seemed to have taken root in Central City while the two Rogues were going to find Spiderman and make him miserable; very, very, miserable.

Owlman was visited by the Midnight Rambler.

"You have two teammates in this reality. Ready to reunite with them?"

Owlman said" Yes, What would I need to do?"

"Come with me."

Owlman was whisked from Batman's makeshift prison.

Day 29: Midnight; an alternate universe, on a replicated Earth, near Toronto.

Orion; Son of Darkseid, was waiting for the struggle between all the vultures craving power in the absence of Darkseid. Kanto, Granny Goodness, Dr. Bedlam, Virmin Vundabar; all trying to claim control of Apokolips.

He craved action. He couldn't stand waiting around like this.

His New Genesis allies were advising restraint. Metron was advising restraint. Orion hated restraint.

Orion flew off in his Astro Harness. Because of his ill temper, he worked himself up to an angry lather and failed to notice the rift in reality he flew into.

The Emerald Empress was trying to come to terms with her resurrection.

Before long, that didn't matter, as the Emerald Eye reestablished it's control over her.

The Emerald Empress ignored her surroundings and immediately flew off to space.

Shortly after, Orion arrived via a rift in reality.

There weren't many Shield agents left in Toronto after the decimation they'd received during the day today.

The ones that were left took one look at the ferocious image of Orion and began to think they took the wrong line of work.

Orion saw the Shield agents advance on him but cared nothing about them.

He asked his Mother Box about the presense of Darkseid and obtained an affirmative.

He then summoned a Boom Tube to take him to Apokolips.

The Emerald Empress hadn't gone far, before she was intercepted by the Midnight Rambler.

"You have a teammate here. He's a prisoner of the Legion of Superheroes. Now are you going to let that fly?"

"Who is he?"

"The Persuader."

Armed with that information, The Emerald Empress returned to Earth and assaulted the Legion Headquarters, manned only by Brainiac 5.

Brainiac 5 was engrossed in one of his experiments and was totally unprepared.

The Emerald Empress successfully retrieved The Persuader.

Okay, just read the first page of the first part. This is going to take a while. You said something about guessing how the pattern worked, and I have no clue. But, it looks to be a fun read.

After Brainiac 5 recovered from the Emerald Empress' attack, he alerted the other available Legion members, which happened to be Lightning Lad, Saturn Girl and Cosmic Boy.

Wildfire, Shadow Lass and Kid Quantum were on their way to Tasmia's world to help it assimilate to it's new universe while Chameleon Boy was on Judge Dredd's Earth to help Ms. Marvel guard the world against Kree or Skrull encroachment.

Cosmic Boy and Brainiac 5 began the process of repairing the Legion headquarters while Lightning Lad and Saturn Girl tried to trace where the Emerald Empress and the Persuader might have fled.

The Emerald Empress took the Persuader to the Moon to question him about the strangeness of this new reality. When they saw the Blue area of the moon, Attilan sparked their curiousity, but they weren't interested in a major confrontation just yet so they moved on to Mars for their discussion.

It was there that the Persuader began explaining things to her.

Orion arrived on Apokolips and immediately moved to confront Darkseid.

He was greeted not only by Darkseid, but also Kalibak, a cowering Desaad, The General (Wade Eiling) several towering Sentinals under the control of T.O. Morrow and a horde of Parademons.

"So! The great and powerful Darkseid has chosen to abandon our own reality to live on an alternate Apokolips?"

"Hardly chose to, my impetuous son. Several beings from many universes whose might rival mine have all been brought to this reality against their will.
I find I like it here, however and I'm not really anxious to return. There are several new challenges for me to confront. I'll return to our own reality when it suits me to return."

"Do you think I won't continue to oppose you, even in this reality?"

"I would be disappointed in you if you did not. However, New Genesis does not exist here ----- yet. A mysterious and powerful entity with the ability to shape this universe at his will has not chosen to replicate it yet. Your allies are limited. Perhaps you would like to consider accepting your true nature and joining your father's side?"

Kalibak bristled at that suggestion.

Orion responded. "That's not going to happen father. I am destined to destroy you, just like I did once before. I'm guessing Big Barda is in this reality as well, since she has been missing for some time. I will seek her out and confront you and your toadies another day."

Orion left via Boom Tube, but not before he knocked the General away from him with a resounding blow as Eiling reached to grab Orion.

Felix Faust received a visitor.

"How have you breached my defenses and why do you risk death?"

Baron Mordo responded. "Your defenses are remarkable and I might not have been able to breach them if I hadn't had help, powerful help.

But I'm not here to attack you. Oh no. I'm here to introduce you to some powerful forces that seek your allegiance. You would do well to accompany me."

"Why should I want to do that?"

"Because it can only benefit you. This world has many dangerous enemies for one such as you, some you know such as Zatanna and the Enchantress, and many you don't know and need to become aware of. You can only benefit from accompanying me."

"You've sparked my curiousity. Come back in three hours and I shall be ready to accompany you."

"Of course." Mordo bowed, "make all the preparations you feel necessary. I shall return for you in three hours."

With that Baron Mordo disappeared.

Felix Faust immediately consulted his scrying devices.

Metamorpho joined the other DC heroes and got his initial briefing about this new world from Robin and the Huntress. He was then introduced to the members of Alpha Flight, Gambit and the remaining Shield forces that had survived the confrontation with Kalibak.

Orion's Mother Box led him directly to Big Barda, who was in Greece with Wonder Woman and Marvel's Hercules as they monitored Hecate's palace to watch for trouble from the witch goddess and the DC Ares.

Orion was dismissive of Hercules as he addressed Barda and Wonder Woman.

Hercules didn't care for the contemptuous nature that Orion displayed and decided to deliver the gift to Orion.

Orion and Hercules immediately began brawling while Wonder Woman and Barda tried their best to separate them.

Shadow Lass, Wildfire and Kid Quantum arrived on Talok VIII.

Tasmia Mallor barely spoke with Jazmin Cullen on the flight there. This did not bother Kid Quantum as much as it would normally. Jazmin was fully aware of Shadow Lass' arrogant nature from the version she'd teamed with. Jazmin earned that version's respect eventually, she would earn this one's as well.

Talok VIII was like they were told to expect. Completely intact but devoid of any of the native population other then the natural flora and fauna of the planet.

They'd barely touched down when they were joined by a Kree scout ship that had lucked on to the planet and were trying to explore it.

The three heroes were challenged by the Kree exploration party that laid claim to the planet and ordered them to leave.
